For professors and instructors to be ready to teach with the new instructional model, the learning innovation center facilitates and guides them in doing so. The goal is that Chulalongkorn professors would be instructional leaders. They would promote active learning with “Teach Less, Learn More.” This encourages learners to commit to the concept of life-long learning—eager to learn and discover ne
w information, think critically, and wisely utilize information and communication technology. Chulalongkorn University established the Learning Innovation Center (LIC) to carry out this goal, coordinating and supporting the Education 3.0 Instructional Model. Engendering learning innovation, we have three core missions:
1. Develop knowledgeable and skilled faculties who can use many teaching strategies
2. Facilitate faculties to use computer software, and technological devices in their instructions and classroom-related activities.
3. Create communities of learners—including college students, instructors, staffs, and general people—who develop a culture of lifelong learning
จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยตระหนักถึงความสำคัญในการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนให้คณาจารย์มีความพร้อมสำหรับการจัดการเรียนการสอนยุคใหม่ ที่จะนำมหาวิทยาลัยไปสู่เป้าหมายในการเป็นผู้นำในด้านการเรียนการสอน ด้วยการปรับกระบวนการเรียนการสอนให้เป็น Active Learning โดยใช้หลักการ สอนให้น้อยลง เรียนรู้ให้มากขึ้น (Teach Less, Learn More) เพื่อกระตุ้นให้ผู้เรียนมีความใฝ่รู้ รู้จักแสวงหาความรู้ด้วยตนเอง คิดอย่างมีวิจารณญาณ และสามารถใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศอย่างรู้เท่าทัน มหาวิทยาลัยจึงได้จัดตั้งศูนย์นวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้ (Learning Innovation Center : LIC) ขึ้นเพื่อทำหน้าที่ในการประสานงานและสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานที่ช่วยพัฒนาการเรียนการสอนในระบบ Education 3.0 และก่อให้เกิดนวัตกรรมในการเรียนรู้ โดยมีภารกิจหลัก 3 ด้านคือ
1. พัฒนาคณาจารย์ให้มีความรู้และทักษะเกี่ยวกับการเรียนการสอนในรูปแบบต่างๆ การประเมินผลการเรียนรู้และการวิจัยเพื่อพัฒนาการเรียนการสอน
2. สนับสนุนให้นำเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและอุปกรณ์ต่างๆ มาใช้ในการจัดการเรียนการสอนและกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้อง
3. กระตุ้นให้ประชาคมทุกกลุ่มทั้งนิสิต คณาจารย์ และบุคลากร รวมทั้งประชาชนทั่วไปมีวัฒนธรรมในการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต
