Students from Assumption University of Thailand’s New Energy Automotive Engineering (NEA) and SIMBA programs visited Bangkok’s Auto Rendezvous Museum to explore over a century of automotive history.

Led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Narong Aphiratsakun, Dean of the Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology, the visit gave students insights into the evolution of vehicle engineering, design, safety and performance.

By connecting classic automobiles with today’s hybrid and electric vehicle technologies, students gained a broader perspective on automotive innovation and the future of mobility, bringing classroom learning closer to real-world engineering.

The third and final day of the IODA Conference 2026 brought theory to life under the theme "Integration and Cultural Immersion," translating core organizational development principles into tangible community realities.

On 17 October 2026, delegates began the morning with an industrial study visit and lunch at Air Orchids, examining sustainable enterprise and agricultural management, followed by an immersive visit to the vibrant Wat Lam Phaya Floating Market to experience grassroots community commerce firsthand.

In the afternoon, the journey transitioned to Assumption University’s Suvarnabhumi Campus. Delegates convened for a synthesis session led by IODA President Peter Kalmar, reflecting on the shared insights of the past three days to shape actionable organizational roadmaps.

Following a reflective closing prayer and thanksgiving ceremony, participants gathered before the iconic statue of Our Lady of the Assumption at the Cathedral of Learning for a commemorative group photograph, celebrating international solidarity, collective wisdom, and lasting friendship.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to every keynote speaker, facilitator, student volunteer, organizer, and delegate who made IODA 2026 an extraordinary success. Safe travels back to your home countries, and we look forward to seeing the global IODA community reunite in the Netherlands for IODA 2027! 🏛️💙

Day 2 of the IODA Conference 2026 was packed with actionable insights on resilience, human-centered transformation, and cross-cultural solidarity.

On 16 October 2026, the morning commenced at the AU Chapel with a reflective tribute celebrating the life and enduring service of IODA luminaries. The assembly then transitioned to Salle D'Expo for a compelling plenary keynote by Dr. Piti Tantakasem, Director & CEO of TMBThanachart Bank (ttb), who delivered strategic lessons on steering organizational transformation and fostering large-scale banking innovation across turbulent economic landscapes.

Delegates spent the afternoon immersed in interactive concurrent sessions and open dialogues. Hands-on workshops explored practical toolkits including the Art of Hosting for collective sense-making, systemic methods for tackling wicked community problems, and living frameworks that cultivate long-term sustainability.

Facilitators guided sessions on navigating leader readiness to minimize unintended harm, developing cultural competence, transitioning from binary thinking to "both-and" adaptive leadership, and rethinking organization design in the era of artificial intelligence and automation. Participants also examined peer-led leadership in hybrid environments, distributed leadership models, and engaged in dynamic discussions during an Open Space forum addressing emerging global issues.

The evening concluded at the Coronation Building with an unforgettable International Networking Dinner. In a moving conference tradition, the symbolic IODA Quilt was formally handed over by the Thailand host team to the incoming Netherlands organizing committee for IODA 2027, followed by vibrant cultural performances presented by Indian and Myanmar delegates.

On 15 October 2026, Assumption University, in partnership with the International Organization Development Association (IODA), successfully co-hosted the IODA 2026 International Conference at its Hua Mak Campus under the theme “OD for Sustainability: Wisdom, Adaptability, and Innovation.”

Guided by the day's overarching pillar, "Wisdom," the conference opened with warm Thai hospitality and a traditional Bai Sri Welcome Ceremony. Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, Ph.D., President of Assumption University, and Mr. Peter Kalmar, IODA President, set an inspiring foundation with reflections on international solidarity, shared humanity, and values-centered leadership.

The morning plenary keynote by Ms. Jacqueline Wong (Founder & Senior Partner of Sequoia Group and Dean of the Sustainability Institute, Singapore) challenged delegates to move past baseline sustainability toward building truly regenerative organizations. The momentum carried forward through dynamic research poster presentations spotlighting innovative work from our graduate scholars. Delegates then engaged in hands-on concurrent workshops led by renowned international practitioners, exploring how to apply forest permaculture to team dynamics, practice embodied self-awareness as an instrument of change, reclaim cultural wisdom, and develop frontline leaders across diverse organizational settings.

To conclude an invigorating first day, delegates gathered at the Coronation Building for a lively Thai Temple Festival Gala Dinner, where community bonds deepened, and professional excellence was honored through the Saul Silverman and Richard Beckhard Awards.

It was an unforgettable beginning to a transformative week of learning and cross-cultural friendship.
