Founded in 1956 They will also learn the management skills, the understanding of industry's market, cost estimation, and all other business principles.

The students have the ability to recognize and actualize designs that are sensitive to the human spatial experience both residence and workplace buildings. The students will learn about of space management, harmonies of functions and designs, technology, furniture and furnishings design, and the management the construction of interior space.

วิชานี้ นักศึกษาไม่ได้เรียนแค่ว่าไม้แต่ละชนิดแข็งแรงแค่ไหน หรือวัสดุแต่ละแบบทนทานอย่างไรแต่จะเรียนรู้ตั้งแต่มิติความงามและคุณค่าทางสุนทรียะของวัสดุ — พื้นผิว สี ลวดลาย ที่ส่งผลต่อบรรยากาศของพื้นที่ ไปจนถึงกระบวนการผลิต การแปรรูป และเทคนิคการนำมาใช้ในงานออกแบบภายในเพื่อให้รู้ว่าวัสดุที่เลือกจะ ”จบงาน“ ออกมาเป็นอย่างไรเมื่อสร้างขึ้นจริง

นักศึกษาจะได้เรียนรู้คุณสมบัติของวัสดุผ่านการลงมือออกแบบ เขียนแบบ เยี่ยมชมร้านวัสดุและอุปกรณ์ พร้อมฝึกคัดเลือกวัสดุให้เหมาะกับโจทย์ออกแบบตั้งแต่งานไม้ โลหะ กระจก หิน เซรามิก สิ่งทอ ไปจนถึงวัสดุเพื่อความยั่งยืน

เพราะนักออกแบบภายในที่ดี ไม่ใช่แค่รู้ว่าวัสดุคืออะไร แต่ต้องรู้ว่าจะทำให้มันสวยและอยู่ได้จริงอย่างไร

In this course, students don’t just learn how strong or durable each type of material is. They study the aesthetic dimension and value of materials — texture, colour, and pattern — and how these shape the atmosphere of a space, through to the production processes, fabrication methods, and application techniques used in interior design, understanding how a chosen material will actually ”finish“ once built.

Students learn material properties through hands-on design and drafting work, visits to material and equipment suppliers, and practice selecting materials suited to real design briefs — from wood, metal, and glass to stone, ceramics, and textiles, as well as sustainable materials.

Because a good interior designer doesn‘t just know what a material is — they know how to make it beautiful and make it last.

ก่อนจะออกแบบต้องรู้ก่อนว่ามีองค์ประกอบอะไรบ้าง — วิชานีปูพื้นฐานความเข้าใจ “เหตุผล” เบื้องหลังงานออกแบบ ผ่านทฤษฎีสี ทัศนธาตุ และหลักการจัดองค์ประกอบศิลป์ทั้ง 2 มิติและ 3 มิติ

นักศึกษาจะได้เรียนรู้ทฤษฎีสีอย่างเป็นระบบ ทำงานปฏิบัติและฝึกวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบศิลป์ตั้งแต่ mood & tone ไปจนถึงการจัดวาง พร้อมต่อยอดสู่ perspective และ pattern เพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานที่มีตัวตนของตัวเอง

ทุกเส้น ทุกสี ล้วนมีที่มา — วิชานี้คือจุดเริ่มต้นที่ทำให้นักออกแบบอธิบายได้

Before you can design well, you first need to understand the elements that make it up — this course builds a foundational understanding of the “reasoning” behind design, through color theory, visual elements, and the principles of composition in both 2D and 3D.

Students will learn color theory systematically, work through hands-on exercises, and practice analyzing composition — from mood & tone to layout — before progressing to perspective and pattern to create work that reflects their own identity.

Every line, every color has a reason behind it — this course is where designers learn to explain their own work.

เมื่อการออกแบบภายในต้องตอบทั้งกฎหมาย บริบท และผู้ใช้งาน

การออกแบบภายใน 4
ออกแบบอาคารสาธารณะที่เชื่อมโยงคุณภาพชีวิตและการทำงาน อาทิ พื้นที่เพื่อสุขภาวะ (Wellness Design) และพื้นที่ทำงาน (Workplace Design) ภายใต้กฎหมายและมาตรฐานอาคารที่เกี่ยวข้อง

การออกแบบภายใน 5
ออกแบบอาคารสาธารณะที่ต้องอาศัยการเล่าเรื่องผ่านพื้นที่ (Spatial Storytelling) และการออกแบบเชิงประสบการณ์ (Experience Design) เช่น โรงแรมขนาดเล็กและพิพิธภัณฑ์ เพื่อสร้างเส้นทางการรับรู้ของผู้ใช้งานให้สอดคล้องกับอัตลักษณ์โครงการ

การออกแบบภายใน 6
บทสรุปที่เปิดกว้าง — ให้นักศึกษาเลือกหัวข้อโครงการอิสระ (Independent Design Project) ตามความสนใจเฉพาะตัว เน้นกระบวนการทดลองทฤษฎีงานออกแบบบูรณาการทุกองค์ความรู้สู่ผลงานที่สะท้อนตัวตนของผู้ออกแบบ

จากอาคารทั่วไป สู่โจทย์ที่ซับซ้อน — เส้นทางที่หล่อหลอมสร้างนักออกแบบภายในที่มีคุณภาพ

Interior Design 4
Designing public buildings that connect quality of life and work — such as spaces for wellness design and workplace design — within the relevant building codes and standards.

Interior Design 5
Designing public buildings that call for spatial storytelling and experience design, such as boutique hotels and museums, crafting a perceptual journey for users that aligns with each project’s identity.

Interior Design 6
An open-ended capstone — students choose an independent design project based on their own interests, focusing on experimenting with design theory and integrating all prior knowledge into work that reflects the designer’s own identity.

From ordinary buildings to the most complex briefs — the path that shapes a capable interior designer.

Before you can understand hundreds of strangers, you must first understand the one person living at home.

Interior Design 1
Ready-made furniture can furnish any house. But a home that reflects its owner begins with understanding each person's distinct behavior and preferences — the starting point for studying the relationship between people and their environment, space, proportion, and function, along with user analysis, grounded in a philosophy of Design for Coexistence.

Interior Design 2
Moving from private space to residential houses, shophouses, home offices, row houses, and retail shops, where users grow more diverse. Furniture layout and environment must respond to both project objectives and increasingly complex, varied user needs.

Interior Design 3
Stepping fully into public space — designing restaurants and cafés that call for analyzing the behavior of guests across age groups, with an atmosphere that reflects brand character through experience design, meeting the demands of an era where every corner is a photo spot.

From fundamentals to industry-ready — the digital path of an interior designer.

Tools don't make someone a designer — it's the thinking that does.

The curriculum lays out digital tool learning in two levels, with an emphasis on training students to use tools "with direction," rather than letting the tools dictate the outcome.

Computer for Interior Design I begins with training in 2D and 3D design and drafting software to clearly communicate one's own ideas, while learning to use AI as an assistant in the thinking process — not a decision-maker in its place.

This builds toward Computer for Interior Design II, an advanced level where students must direct increasingly complex tools: advanced 3D modeling, site context analysis, real-time rendering, and AI-assisted image generation and data analysis — all while the designer's judgment continues to shape the final outcome.

วิชา ประวัติการออกแบบภายในและเครื่องเรือนตะวันตก (History of Western Interior Design and Furniture Design) พาผู้เรียนสำรวจพัฒนาการของงานออกแบบตะวันตกผ่านมิติสังคม วัฒนธรรม เทคโนโลยี งานช่างฝีมือและแนวคิด เพื่อให้เข้าใจ "ที่มา" ก่อนจะสร้าง "สิ่งใหม่"
จัดการเรียนการสอนเป็นภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ ควบคู่ไปกับวิชามัณฑนศิลป์ไทยและมัณฑนศิลป์ตะวันออก เพื่อให้นักศึกษามองเห็นภาพรวมของการออกแบบในระดับโลก

Why do interior designers need to know history?

Because every line, every material, every furniture form we see today has an origin — from the thrones of ancient Egypt, through the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, Art Nouveau, to Modernism.

The course History of Western Interior Design and Furniture Design takes students through the development of Western design across the dimensions of society, culture, technology, craftsmanship, and ideas — to understand where things came from before creating what comes next.

Taught in both Thai and English, alongside courses in Thai Decorative Arts and Oriental Decorative Arts, giving students a global view of design.
