On June 13-15, Assistant Professor Dr. Thanapat Temrattanakul, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sermsak Khunphon, Assistant Dean for Academic Services, were assigned by Assistant Professor Dr. Parichat Thudam, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, to be representatives to attend the WUACD Summit and AMBC Conference 2025 held at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia. The representatives from Thaksin University attended the meeting to discuss ways to create academic collaboration between universities at the international level, and were also the representatives who received the Best Debuter Award from the Association, reflecting their strong cooperation and support for the Association’s operational goals. They also built academic networks with lecturers and researchers from universities in the ASEAN region, central Asia and Australia.

🇯🇵🇹🇭Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Parichat Thudam, Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Sansanee Chan-anupap, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Strategy, Assistant Professor Dr. Thanapat Temrattanakul, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Kunat Somchanakit, Assistant Dean for Academic Quality Assurance, and Mr. KENICHIRO KUTSUNA traveled to Japan. On May 21, 2025, they met with Professor Hiroyuki Shimatani, Director of the Royal Household Museum, Sannomaru Shozokan and President of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, to express their gratitude for the support and encouragement for the "Sakura Science Program" project, which will be organized by inviting Thaksin University students to participate in the project in Japan, as well as for support for educational activities and research.🇯🇵🇹🇭

🇯🇵🇹🇭On May 22, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Parichat Thudam, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, along with the executives, visited the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, "Tokyo Metropolitan University", Tokyo, Japan. On this occasion, Professor Kiyoto Tanno, Dean, welcomed and negotiated academic cooperation, research, and academic services in both Inbound and Outbound formats, such as sending exchange students to study Japanese language and culture for 1 semester or 2 semesters, and inviting faculty to teach or conduct research between universities. After that, the executives met with Professor Dr. Takaya Ohashi, President of Tokyo Metropolitan University, to discuss future cooperation.🇯🇵🇹🇭

🇲🇨🇹🇭 On April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, Thailand, along with the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD), the Faculty of Business Administration and Communication, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Indonesia, and other distinguished institutions, co-organized the 5th International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (TSU-HUSOiCON 2025), held under the theme 'Creating Knowledge Network for Social Innovation and Sustainability', at Jakarta, Indonesia.

At the closing of the conference, the session was honored by Prof. Dr. Rosidana Sijabat, Vice Dean of Faculty of Business Administration and Communication Science, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Indonesia, to give a closing speech. In addition, there was an award ceremony for outstanding papers and honorable mention papers. The participants showed their full participation and set a goal to attend the international conference, which will be held again next year. 🇲🇨🇹🇭

🇲🇨🇹🇭 On April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, Thailand, along with the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD), the Faculty of Business Administration and Communication, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Indonesia, and other distinguished institutions, co-organized the 5th International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (TSU-HUSOiCON 2025), held under the theme 'Creating Knowledge Network for Social Innovation and Sustainability', at Jakarta, Indonesia.

In the afternoon session, there was an activity to present academic works by participants from many countries. It was divided into 3 presentation rooms: Social Science Room, Management and Education Room, and Language and Literature Room. Research articles and academic articles covering many issues were presented and were criticized and questioned by the moderators. This was considered an important step for the Faculty of Humanities in providing an academic space to drive academic missions and research at the international level. 🇲🇨🇹🇭

🇲🇨🇹🇭 On April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, Thailand, along with the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD), the Faculty of Business Administration and Communication, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Indonesia, and other distinguished institutions, co-organized the 5th International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (TSU-HUSOiCON 2025), held under the theme 'Creating Knowledge Network for Social Innovation and Sustainability', at Jakarta, Indonesia.

The morning session started with the opening ceremony, which included a welcome remarks given by Dr.Yanti, the Vice-Rector for Innovation, Research, Collaboration, and Alumni Affairs of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. After that, was the meeting report and opening remarks given by, Assistant Professor Dr. Parichart Thudam, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University. Followed by the opening ceremony performance, which was the co-host, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, prepared to welcome all participants, and ended the morning session with the keynote speech given by Professor Dr. Charas Suwanmala, an Honorary Member of the Council of Thaksin University, and taking group photo to signify the strong partnership of all parties.

The objective of TSU-HUSOiCON 2025 is to further the dissemination of research in the fields of humanities and social sciences, with a particular focus on the intersection of social innovation, sustainability, and the role of higher education in addressing global challenges. This conference offers a platform for researchers, academics, and graduate students from across the globe to share their work, engage in meaningful discussions, and forges new international collaborations to consolidate research strengths in such fields, thereby contributing to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable social progress and enhancing the international recognition of participating institutions.🇲🇨🇹🇭

🇹🇭🇲🇾 On Friday, April 18, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, had the opportunity to welcome a group of lecturers and students from the School of Communication, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia, who traveled to participate in academic activities with lecturers and students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Assistant Professor Dr. Parichat Thudam, Dean, assigned Assistant Professor Dr. Thanapat Temrattanakul, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, to welcome and facilitate the international academic activities of both institutes. The event included a parallel session of giving lectures on topics related to food and tourism in the South. In addition, there were recreational activities to strengthen the relationship between students.

Later, on Saturday, April 19, English program students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences facilitated the group of USM to travel and collect research data from Khlong Hae Floating Market, Hat Yai District. The students had the opportunity to exchange knowledge about culture through the study of the local food of the South. This activity is considered an ongoing collaboration between the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, and the School of Communication, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia.🇹🇭🇲🇾

🇨🇳🇹🇭 On Monday, March 24, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Nathapong Chitniratna, President of Thaksin University, traveled with the executives and lecturers of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, to deliver students to join the Short-Term Practical Language and Cultural Exchange Program 2025 at University of Jinan, China. During this trip, the president visited the library of the university, which is one of the largest and most modern in China, and also participated in a trial lesson in Chinese calligraphy classroom, where the president joined in writing characters and drawing pictures together with the lecturers and students of the project. The results of the participation reflected the learning atmosphere and the students’ determination to study. 🇨🇳🇹🇭

🇨🇳🇹🇭 On Monday, March 24, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Nathapong Chitniratna, President of Thaksin University, led a group of executives and lecturers from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to travel to University of Jinan, China to deliver students who participated in the project. On this occasion, the President jointly gave an opening speech together with the Dean and Secretary of the College of International Education Exchange, which was attended by students in the project and the students who are currently studying. In addition, the President also traveled to the student dormitory to inspect the living conditions and provide advice on appropriate behavior for students. 🇨🇳🇹🇭

🇨🇳🇹🇭 On Monday, March 24, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Nathapong Chitniratna, President of Thaksin University, led representatives of the executives, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to travel to University of Jinan, China, to join the discussion on international academic collaboration between the two institutions. Mr.Liu Zongming, the President of University of Jinan, along with the Vice Presidents, Director of the International Affairs Office, Dean and Secretary-General of the College of International Education Exchange, welcomed and discussed the possibilities of further academic cooperation in the future. In addition, souvenirs were presented to show the good relations between Thaksin University and University of Jinan, and group photos were taken with students participating in the project in front of the symbolic monument of University of Jinan. 🇨🇳🇹🇭
