Thaksin University Receives the Conference Initiator Award 2026

Thaksin University has been honored with the Conference Initiator Award 2026 from the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD) in recognition of its outstanding contributions to initiating TSU-HUSOiCon 2026 at the National University of Lao, Lao PDR, an international conferrence that strengthen collaboration and community development among member institutions.

Assistant Professor Dr. Tanapat Temrattanakul, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sermsak Khunphon, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Corporate Communication, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, have been appointed by the President of Thaksin University to represent the university at the WUACD Summit 2026 and the annual WUACD Executive Board Meeting in Bali, Indonesia, on 21–22 June 2026. They will officially receive the award on behalf of the university.

This participation supports the Faculty’s mission to advance internationalization through global academic networking, collaborative research, academic exchange, and international partnerships, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and the university’s global recognition.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, Thailand, successfully completed the Short-Term Practical Language and Cultural Exchange Program at the University of Jinan, People’s Republic of China, from March 28 to April 3, 2026.

The program aimed to enhance academic collaboration and promote intercultural learning between the two institutions. The delegation was led by Dr. Tanapat Temratnakul, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, representing the Faculty.

The program was warmly hosted by the University of Jinan, with the support of distinguished administrators, including Dr. Yan Mei (Vice President), Dr. Sun Yanmei (Dean), Dr. Liu Hongmei, and Dr. Wang Xia (Associate Deans).

This successful program highlights the strong partnership between the two universities and reinforces their commitment to global engagement and academic excellence.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thaksin University, in collaboration with the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD), the Faculty of Economics and Business Management, National University of Laos, and seven other organizations, is organizing the 6th International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (TSU-HUSOiCON 2026) under the theme "Strengthening Academic Networks to Enhance Community Management and Development".
