คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เดินหน้าขยายบทบาทด้านภาษาและวัฒนธรรมสู่บริบทวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ ผ่านความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับ Chongqing Medical University สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน มุ่งพัฒนาทักษะภาษาจีนเพื่อการแพทย์ สนับสนุนการเพิ่มโอกาสเส้นทางอาชีพให้นักศึกษาในสายงานทางการแพทย์และสุขภาพระดับนานาชาติ
เมื่อวันที่ 17 เมษายน 2569 รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. อรทัย เพียยุระ คณบดีคณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.เบญญาทิพย์ ศุภะกะลิน หัวหน้าสาขาวิชาภาษาตะวันออก ได้เข้าร่วมศึกษาดูงานและหารือความร่วมมือร่วมกับ คณะผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น นำโดย รองศาสตราจารย์ นพ.ชาญชัย พานทองวิริยะกุล อธิการบดี พร้อมด้วย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อัจฉราวรรณ โตภาคงาม ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายการต่างประเทศ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อุทัยวรรณ ด่านวิวัฒน์ ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันขงจื่อ ฝ่ายไทย และคณะศึกษาศาสตร์ ณ Chongqing Medical University
โดยการหารือความร่วมมือร่วมกันในครั้งนี้ มุ่งเน้นการสร้างความร่วมมือด้านภาษาต่างประเทศเพื่อสนับสนุนการศึกษาทางการแพทย์ โดยเฉพาะการพัฒนาทักษะภาษาจีนและภาษาเพื่อวัตถุประสงค์เฉพาะทาง ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ภาษาเพื่อการสื่อสารทางการแพทย์ การสื่อสารกับผู้ป่วย บุคลากรทางสุขภาพ และองค์กรด้านการแพทย์ในบริบทนานาชาติ รวมถึงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและอาจารย์ การพัฒนางานวิจัยร่วมกัน
นอกจากนี้ คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ ยังได้มีการหารือในประเด็นการฝึกประสบการณ์ของนักศึกษาสาขาวิชาภาษาตะวันออก วิชาเอกภาษาจีน ในหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสายงานสุขภาพ เตรียมความพร้อมนักศึกษาให้มีทักษะภาษา ความเข้าใจข้ามวัฒนธรรม และความพร้อมในการทำงานในสาขาอาชีพที่หลากหลาย โดยเฉพาะสายงานทางการแพทย์และวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ ซึ่งมีความต้องการบุคลากรที่สามารถสื่อสารได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพในระดับสากล ถือเป็นการสร้างโอกาสทางอาชีพที่กว้างขึ้น และเตรียมความพร้อมนักศึกษาสู่ตลาดแรงงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Khon Kaen University is stepping into the health sciences field. Through academic partnership with Chongqing Medical University in China, the faculty is aiming to level up students' Chinese language skills specifically for the medical field. This dynamic move will support cooperative education and open up incredible new career paths for students intending the international healthcare and medical range.
On April 17, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Orathai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, alongside Asst. Prof. Dr.Benyatip Suphakalin, Head of the Eastern Languages Department, aligned with KKU’s executives for a study visit and collaborative talks at Chongqing Medical University. The senior executive delegation from KKU was led by Chancellor Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr.Acharawan Topark-ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr.Uthaiwan Danwiwat, Thai Director of the Confucius Institute, and representatives from the Faculty of Education.
The core idea of the conference was to build a strong language foundation to elevate medical education. The main focus was firmly on developing Chinese language skills for highly specific purposes, ranging from clinical communication with patients and healthcare personnel to navigating international medical organizations. The partnership is also setting the stage for future student and faculty exchanges, as well as groundbreaking joint research.
Furthermore, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences also pitched plans for upcoming cooperative education programs and internships. The discussions highlighted new opportunities for Chinese major students from the Eastern Languages Department to gain practical experience working within health-related agencies. This initiative is designed to equip students with outstanding language skills, cross-cultural competence, and the readiness to step into diverse professional roles.
With the medical and health science sectors increasingly in need of effective, globally-minded communicators, this partnership is a massive step forward in broadening career horizons and preparing KKU students to confidently enter the competitive global workforce.
