The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) advises travelers to monitor the heavy rain and flooding affecting several areas, check their routes, and allow extra time for travel.
Heavy rain and flooding may disrupt traffic and access to airports, tourist attractions, and accommodations in some areas. TAT encourages travelers to plan carefully and follow updates from the relevant authorities. Travelers are advised to:
1. Check the weather, flood conditions, and routes before setting out. Plan an alternative route if you may need to travel through an affected area.
2. Allow extra time to get to the airport. Check your flight status with your airline and the airport in advance.
3. Follow official warnings and travel updates from government agencies and relevant platforms, including the Thai Meteorological Department, ThaiWater, GISTDA, and the Google Flood Hub.
4. Avoid flooded and high-risk areas and follow the instructions of local authorities.
TAT is coordinating with relevant agencies to provide travelers with ongoing information and assistance.
