We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khin Khin Tha from Hokkaido University, Japan, and Prof. Dr. Coen Hurkmans from Catharina Hospital, the Netherlands, for giving special lectures and sharing their clinical experience and insights on quantitative MRI biomarkers and artificial intelligence in radiation oncology with our PhD students and faculty members.

Their contributions have greatly enriched our seminar series in medical physics and medical engineering for Semester 1/2025.

We welcome graduates with a bachelor's or master's degree in medical physics, physics, engineering, computer science, or related fields to apply for our research-based PhD program in medical physics and medical engineering.
Key research areas:
- AI and big data in radiation therapy and radiology
- Simulation and modelling in radiation therapy and radiation protection
- Medical image processing
- Radiobiology and radiobiological modelling
- Management of quality assurance and predictive maintenance of medical devices
- Space engineering for health science
- Surface modification in biomedical applications

The Graduate Attributes Enhancement Program for the 2025 academic year was held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Pricess Srisavanghavadhana College of Medicine Building.

Field Trip Highlights: ThaiSC Supercomputer Center & Thai Irradiation Center ✨📍

Today, our students from Medical Physics and Medical Engineering - International Program had the incredible opportunity to explore two of Thailand’s cutting-edge research facilities — the ThaiSC Supercomputer Center of NSTDA and the Thai Irradiation Center of TINT.

🧠💻 At ThaiSC, students got a firsthand look at the power of high-performance computing in advancing medical research, simulations, and data analysis. From AI in healthcare to modeling radiation therapy.

☢️🔬 At the Thai Irradiation Center, they learnt about the practical applications of radiation for sterilization, radiation safety, and the role of irradiation in medical device development.

This trip was full of inspiration and new knowledge. Huge thanks to the teams at both centers for welcoming us and sharing their expertise!
