📍 MSU Expands Collaboration to Japan: Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Visits Muroran Institute of Technology
On June 6, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Leethongdee, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Mahasarakham University (MSU), joined the university delegation led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prayook Srivilai, President of MSU, on a study visit and academic collaboration meeting at Muroran Institute of Technology, Japan.
🎯 The primary objective of this visit was to enhance and expand international collaboration, particularly in the areas of research, innovation development, and student and staff exchange programs.
The MSU delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Mizushi Matsuda, President of Muroran Institute of Technology, along with senior administrators, faculty members, and staff from the university’s International Collaboration Center. Key activities included:
🔹 A strategic meeting with the President to discuss potential Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements and exchange opportunities
🔹 Policy exchange on international collaboration frameworks
🔬 Laboratory tour in the Department of Biology, where:
• Prof. TOKURAKU Kiyotaka and
• Asst. Prof. KURAGANO Masahiro
presented research in molecular biology and biosynthesis
💻 Visit to the Computer Science Laboratories, hosted by:
• Prof. WATANABE Shinya
• Prof. OKADA Yoshifumi
• Asst. Prof. NISHIHARA Kei
• Asst. Prof. LU Yan
Topics covered included artificial intelligence, software engineering, and embedded systems
🔬 Tour of the Materials Science Laboratories, where:
• Prof. KAMEGAWA Atsunori and
• Asst. Prof. Siree Burapornpong
shared insights on advanced materials and industrial applications
