For those who might be unfamiliar with MUIC, below is a short history of the College. In March of 1986 the Mahidol University Council and Ministry of University Affairs formally endorsed the creation of a new academic enterprise, designated at that time as the International Student Degree Program (ISDP), providing an international-style education in English leading to a Bachelor Degree in Science
or the Arts. Ten years later the name was changed to Mahidol University International College (MUIC), giving the program the full status and weight of a university faculty. Its mission then, as it is now, has been to produce high-calibre graduates, consistent with international standards, who are dedicated to life-long learning and who possess the skills and humanity to live and work effectively in an ever-increasing globalized world. After almost 26 years of service, the college has witnessed the graduation of nearly 5,000 ISDP and MUIC students. After having sponsored several alumni reunions, both large and small, over the past few years, the college decided to formally establish the MUIC Alumni Association in January, 1997. This page will feature information on membership, issues of the Alumni Association newsletters, passages and kaleidoscope which keep update of MUIC activities and upcoming events and a comment feature on every post for alumni messages, inquiries and responses which, hopefully, will enable us to maintain a dependable alumni database.
