On September 26, 2026, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, extended its congratulations to the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, on the occasion of its 53rd anniversary.

Dr. Tarinee Buadit represented AIHD in conveying the Institute’s congratulations and presenting a scholarship to support and promote educational opportunities.

วันที่ 24–25 กันยายน 2569 สถาบันพัฒนาสุขภาพอาเซียน มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ร่วมกับ Prof. Dr. Jean-Louis Lamboray ศาสตราจารย์วุฒิคุณประจำสถาบันฯ และผู้ร่วมก่อตั้งองค์กร Constellation พร้อมด้วย SALT Facilitators จากองค์กร Constellation ได้แก่ Dr. Wiwin Winarni และ Ms. Rituu B. Nanda จัดอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการในหัวข้อ “From Health for All to Health by All: A New Role for Public Health” ให้กับนักศึกษา บุคลากรของสถาบัน รวมทั้งผู้ที่สนใจเข้าร่วม โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อรพินท์ เล่าซี้ รองผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายบริหารและบริการวิชาการ ให้การต้อนรับวิทยากร ณ ห้อง 2106 อาคารเรียนและฝึกอบรม สถาบันพัฒนาสุขภาพอาเซียน

การอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อเปิดพื้นที่แลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับบทบาทใหม่ของบุคลากรด้านสาธารณสุข โดยมุ่งเน้นแนวคิดการสร้างเสริมสุขภาพที่ให้ความสำคัญกับการมีส่วนร่วมและการพัฒนาศักยภาพของประชาชนและชุมชน ให้สามารถเป็นผู้มีบทบาทสำคัญในการดูแลและสร้างเสริมสุขภาพของตนเอง โดยการสนับสนุนประชาชนให้มีความมั่นใจ มีศักยภาพ และมีบทบาทในการดูแลและสร้างเสริมสุขภาพของตนเอง ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนางานสาธารณสุขที่มีส่วนร่วมของทุกภาคส่วนและการสร้างสุขภาวะอย่างยั่งยืน..

AIHD and Constellation Co-Organize Workshop on “From Health for All to Health by All: A New Role for Public Health”

On 24–25 September 2026, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Jean-Louis Lamboray, Adjunct Professor of AIHD and Co-founder of Constellation, together with SALT Facilitators from Constellation, namely Dr. Wiwin Winarni and Ms. Rituu B. Nanda, organized a workshop entitled “From Health for All to Health by All: A New Role for Public Health.” The workshop was attended by students, Institute personnel, and interested participants. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services, welcomed the speakers at Room 2106, Learning and Training Building, ASEAN Institute for Health Development.

The workshop provided a platform for knowledge sharing and discussion on the evolving role of public health professionals, with a focus on health promotion approaches that emphasize community participation and the empowerment of individuals and communities. It highlighted the importance of enabling people to become active contributors to their own health and well-being by supporting them in developing confidence, capabilities, and ownership in managing and promoting their health. These approaches contribute to more inclusive public health practices that engage across sectors and promote sustainable health and well-being.

AIHD, Mahidol University, Participates in Wreath-Laying Ceremony in Commemoration of Mahidol Day

On September 24, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheerawit Rattanapan, Deputy Director for Research and Academic Affairs, together with staff and students, represented the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, at the wreath-laying ceremony in homage to the Royal Monument of Prince Mahidol Adulyadej, Prince of Songkla, the Royal Father, on the occasion of Mahidol Day. The ceremony was held at the Mahidol Learning Center, Mahidol University, Salaya, with the participation of faculty members and students at the Mahidol Learning Center.

On the same occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jukkrit Wungrath, together with faculty members and staff, participated in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, to pay tribute and express profound gratitude for the royal benevolence of Prince Mahidol Adulyadej, who is revered as the Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health in Thailand.

Mahidol Day is observed annually on September 24 to commemorate the royal benevolence and contributions of Prince Mahidol Adulyadej. His visionary contributions have played a significant role in the advancement of medicine, nursing, and public health in Thailand.

AIHD Signs Performance Agreement (PA) for Fiscal Year 2027 with Mahidol University

On 23 September 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services, ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, signed the Performance Agreement (PA) for Fiscal Year 2027 with Mahidol University. The agreement was co-signed by Prof. Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University, at the Professor Emeritus Dr. Natee Rakpolmuang Conference Room, 5th Floor, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya.

The signing of the Performance Agreement reflects AIHD’s commitment to advancing its missions in alignment with Mahidol University’s strategic direction and translating strategic goals into tangible actions and outcomes. 23-24 กันยายน 2569 รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. ปิยะพงษ์ จันทร์ใหม่มูล รองเลขาธิการเครือข่าย AUN-HPN และรองผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายยุทธศาสตร์และวิเทศสัมพันธ์ สถาบันพัฒนาสุขภาพอาเซียน และนายวิชชุกร สุริยะวงศ์ไพศาล นักปฏิบัติการวิจัย รักษาการแทนเลขานุการสถาบันพัฒนาสุขภาพอาเซียน ได้รับมอบหมายจากรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. ธันวดี สุขสาโรจน์ เลขาธิการเครือข่าย AUN-HPN และผู้อำนวยการสถาบันพัฒนาสุขภาพอาเซียน เข้าร่วมการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการนานาชาติหัวข้อ “การประชุมพัฒนาศักยภาพการประยุกต์เครื่องมือด้านกฎหมายและการเงินเพื่อส่งเสริมการบริโภคอาหารสุขภาพและกิจกรรมทางกาย (Global Regulatory and Fiscal Capacity Building Programme (Global RECAP))” ซึ่งจัดโดย International Development of Law Organization (IDLO), Health Law Programme ณ BRAC University กรุงธากา ประเทศบังกลาเทศ

AUN-HPN Secretariat attends Global Regulatory and Fiscal Capacity Building Programme (Global RECAP) Workshop for the Promotion of Healthy Diets and Physical Activity

23 - 24 September 2026, Assoc. Professor Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, ASEAN University Network – Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) Executive Director and Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), assigned Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, AUN-HPN Executive Deputy Director and Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations at the AIHD, together with Mr. Wichukorn Suriyawongpaisal, Researcher and Acting Secretary of AIHD, attended an international workshop titled “Global Regulatory and Fiscal Capacity Building Programme (Global RECAP).” The event was organized by the International Development of Law Organization (IDLO) and the Health Law Programme at BRAC University in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

During the event, Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool highlighted the pivotal role of the AUN-HPN Network in promoting healthy university policies across ASEAN universities by utilizing the Healthy University Framework (HUF) and the Healthy University Rating System (HURS), alongside the implementation of a capacity-building program for health promotion. Furthermore, the AUN-HPN Secretariat Office exchanged perspectives on utilizing the RECAP Toolkit to support the systematic and sustainable promotion of health and prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), starting at the university level.
