⚽🎼 Is it too late to talk about music and the World Cup? We don't think so.
When we think of football anthems, songs like Waka Waka or The Cup of Life often come to mind. But one of the most unforgettable musical moments in World Cup history came from the world of classical music.
In 1990, Puccini's Nessun Dorma, famously performed by Luciano Pavarotti, became the soundtrack of a tournament and introduced millions of football fans to opera.
More than three decades later, it remains a reminder that music and sport share a unique power: bringing people together across cultures, languages, and generations.

🎶 That’s a wrap for the 15th SEADOM Congress 2026!

Over the past three days, the 15th SEADOM Congress brought together colleagues, educators, artists, and leaders from across Southeast Asia and beyond in a vibrant celebration of music, collaboration, and shared vision.

This year’s congress was made possible through the wonderful partnership of three outstanding institutions: Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, LASALLE College of the Arts, and Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music—a true example of collaboration, creativity, and community spirit. From inspiring talks and thought-provoking discussions to exciting performances and warm reunions, it has been an unforgettable journey together.

Thank you to everyone who joined, shared ideas, and helped make this congress so meaningful, fun, and inspiring. 💙
