The Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR) was established in 1971. It is located at the Salaya Campus of Mahidol University in Nakhon Pathom Province. IPSR has an internationally distinguished faculty of social scientists, demographers, reproductive health researchers and program evaluation specialists. The Institute has developed into one of the world’s leading centers for research

and training in Population Studies. There are approximately 40 national and international teaching staff with Ph.D. The Institute offers graduate programs at the Masters and Ph.D. An International Master’s Degree Program, taught in English and focusing on population, behavioral, and social aspects of reproductive health, has been offered for over two decades. More than 300 students from 31 countries in Asia, Central Asia, Africa, Caribbean, Europe and North America have graduated from this program. In addition, IPSR has, for many years, provided special training courses for practitioners and academics from various countries and organizations.
