WU ProChef Summer Program 2026 @ Taiwan
Opening Ceremony & Hungkuang University Tour

The Professional Culinary Arts Program, School of Management, Walailak University, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the WU ProChef Summer Program 2026 @ Taiwan at Hungkuang University.
The Walailak University delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimlapas Pongsakornrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanyamon Petcharat, Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Ms. Niramon Rawangngam, Acting Assistant Dean for International Affairs, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pensiri Kaewthong, Head of Research Center.
Our students and faculty members received a very warm welcome and excellent support from the Office of International Affairs, Hungkuang University, led by Tiger Tien, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, together with Peyton Lee, Secretary, Yosi Chen, Section Chief, and Jade Pei, Project Manager. Their kind hospitality, careful coordination, and warm assistance made the beginning of this international program truly impressive and meaningful.
The opening ceremony marked the beginning of an inspiring international learning experience and provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen academic collaboration and friendship between Walailak University and Hungkuang University.
Following the ceremony, students joined the Hungkuang University Tour, where they explored the university campus, learning facilities, and academic environment. This activity helped students gain new perspectives on international education, campus life, and professional learning in Taiwan.
During our stay in Taiwan, ProChef students will continue to engage in cross-cultural learning, culinary and hospitality experiences, and real-world learning beyond the classroom.
