“Young people need to become aware of their value but also of the values demanded by employers. In this way they can increase their chances of employment and promotion on an increasingly competitive labor market and they can become more attentive to skills and abilities.”
We are happy to be part of this project- Break Your Boundaries...youth power 💪
DISSEMINATION RESULTS
PROJECT "BREAK YOUR BOUNDARIES"
Association SOLOMON Brasov, as Project Leader and Coordinator, in partnership with Citta di Torino - Italy, Hacettepe University, Ankara – Turkey, Youth Associations The Change is in You - Bulgaria, Europe Ifjúsága Egyesület - Hungary, Kurybines Ateities Idejos - Lithuania, Stowarzyszenie Sztukater - Poland, Parcours le Monde - Sud Ouest - France implemented the "Break Your Boundaries" project, funded by the European Union, between 1 July 2017 and 31 January 2018 Erasmus +.
The main activity of the project was a youth exchange that took place in Brasov between 22.09-02.10.2017, attended by 40 young people and 8 youth workers, members of the partner organizations. They were involved in activities based on non-formal education methods and meetings with specialists from human resources departments, educational partners of this project.
The main objectives of the project were: to increase the level of young people's competences and skills in the field of communication and work in international teams, to develop personal skills in the field of intercultural communication, to improve the level of self-knowledge of young people, their values and their own competences.
In the course of the activities, the young people set up a brochure of the project activities (BYB Guide), a result that can be used as a tool by youth workers / trainers / facilitators in working with young people to stimulate them in the development of insertion activities on labor market. By participating in non-formal education activities, we also sought to discover new methods of stimulating creativity, initiative and transversal competencies among the participants, networking between project partners, and sharing best practices on job search and presentation in job interviews. In this way, the participants had the chance to understand that every choice they make makes their mark on the chances of entering the labor market.
The way young people seek to find a job influences the chances of becoming an employee, which is why young people have become more aware of the importance of changing the style of building on their experience and knowledge accumulated in various projects and activities and the need to prepare a professional presentation at a job interview.
The project was implemented in Romania and benefited from the support of important educational partners who supported and supported various workshops dedicated to this project: Transilvania University of Brasov, PREH Romania SRL and BRUMM SRL. Beside them were other stakeholders - individual experts in Human Resource Management, whom we also thank in this way.
SOLOMON - Center for Excellence in Personnel Development is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that supports young people in the personal development process by organizing projects and activities based on non-formal education methods.
The project was funded by the European Union through the ERASMUS+ Program, which supports efforts to modernize education, training and youth systems.
