Yabancı Diller Bölümümüzün Dereköy İlk ve Orta okulunda hayata geçirdiği TÜBİTAK 4009 Projesi’nin açılışı yapıldı. Enerji Kahramanları ve Şeker Canavarları başlıklı projede öğrenciler İngilizce kelimelerle sağlıklı beslenmenin önemini öğrenecekler. Sanat ve Sosyal Bilimler Fakültesi Dekanımız Prof. Dr. Emre Şenol Durak, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Dekanımız Prof. Dr. Elif Sezgin ve Genel Sekreter Yardımcımız Nedim Çalışkan’ın da katıldığı açılışta konuşan Yabancı Diller Bölüm Başkanımız, projenin yürütücüsü Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Fatih Yavuz, projenin amacının “Sağlıklı beslenin, fast food yemeyin!” mesajını sadece duymak değil, yaşayarak, üreterek ve eğlenerek kalıcı hale getirmek olduğunu söyledi. Proje kapsamında Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Dekanımız Prof. Dr. Elif Sezgin sağlıklı beslenme ile ilgili sunum gerçekleştirirken, öğrenciler de konu ile ilgili İngilizce skeci sahneledi.
TÜBİTAK 4009 Project “Energy Heroes and Sugar Villains” Launched!
The launch ceremony of the TÜBİTAK 4009 project, implemented by our Department of Foreign Languages at Dereköy Primary and Secondary School, was held with the participation of our Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emre Şenol Durak, our Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Elif Sezgin, and our Deputy Secretary General, Nedim Çalışkan.
Under the theme “Energy Heroes and Sugar Villains,” students will learn about the importance of healthy nutrition through English vocabulary, while discovering healthy habits through fun and interactive activities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Fatih Yavuz, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Project Coordinator, emphasized that the project aims to make the message “Eat healthy, don’t eat fast food!” more meaningful and lasting—not simply by hearing it, but by experiencing, creating, and having fun.
As part of the project, Prof. Dr. Elif Sezgin delivered a presentation on healthy nutrition, while the students performed an a sketch in English on the topic.
