Akdemistanbul Language Education Institutions, found by Dr. Ahmet Ağırakça, started its operation in May 2009, in the province of Fatih in Istanbul.
With Private Akdem Foreign Language Education Center affiliated with Ministry of National Education and considering the number of students and teachers, it is the largest language education center of Turkey in Arabic and Turkish education to foreigners.
For those who wish to obtain undergraduate studies in the field of Arabic language, there are reinforcement courses of the four year undergraduate programs of European Islamic University operating in the Netherlands and the exams of the students with distance education system are organized.
Extra training is organized in our institution for the YÖS (Foreign Student Examination) exams practiced at the entrance for University in Turkey as well as the Turkish language education for foreigners, and Arabic-Turkish supported study programs for reinforcement to school courses for Arabic students studying in state schools.
In Istanbul, institutional Arabic education services in over thirty points are offered to about 2,000 students.
Akdemistanbul, having a cooperation protocol with Ewan Language Education Institutions in Jordan, organizes language learning programs in Jordan for half term and summer semesters; also, "Turkish Tourism-Oriented Language Training Packages" programs are organized for abroad to Turkey.
Akdemistanbul, hosting Akdem Publications, publishing thematic publications in the field of Arabic and Turkish Education for Foreigners in Turkey, is gaining an exclusive footing in the publication world though publishing policy and approaches in language training. Performing the sales and distribution operations of the publications worldwide in the field of Arabic Education through Akdemstore brand, Akdemistanbul meets the wholesale and retail book needs of Arabic population living in Turkey.
