Özyeğin Üniversitesi Endüstriyel Tasarım Bölümü olarak, 2026 Bahar döneminde 1. sınıftan 4. sınıfa kadar tüm tasarım stüdyolarını kapsayan dönüştürücü bir pilot program başlatmanın heyecanını yaşıyoruz.

IDExAI.26, üretken yapay zekânın tasarım sürecinin araştırma, fikir geliştirme, konsept oluşturma, prototipleme, test ve iletişim aşamalarına etkili ve sorumlu şekilde entegre edilmesini hedefleyen yeni bir eğitim modelidir.

Program, Beko eski Endüstriyel Tasarım İcra Direktörü Serdal Korkut Avcı’nın danışmanlığında; bölümümüzün öğretim üyeleri, stüdyo yürütücüleri ve araştırma ekibinin katkılarıyla yürütülmektedir.

Bu pilot program, yapay zekâyı yalnızca bir araç olarak değil, tasarım düşüncesinin aktif bir bileşeni olarak konumlandıran yeni bir tasarım eğitimi yaklaşımının ilk adımını temsil etmektedir.

ENG: IDExAI.26 is a new educational model that aims to integrate generative artificial intelligence effectively and responsibly into all stages of the design process, including research, ideation, concept development, prototyping, testing, and communication.

This pilot program represents the first step toward a new design education approach that positions artificial intelligence not merely as a tool, but as an active component of design thinking.

ÖzÜ Kampüsü için Yolbulmanın Tasarımı projesinin sergisi, AB4 binamızda 1. Kat ile 2.kat arası merdivenlerde! 📢🏃‍♀️
We are pleased to announce the opening of our exhibition: "Design of Wayfinding Units for OzU Campus". Özyeğin University, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Industrial Design third year students who took the IDE 301-302 Design Studio III-IV courses that were led together with Prof.Dr. Şebnem Timur and Instr.Dr. Emrah Özturan, worked on new wayfinding systems for their campus. The task was to design self-standing outdoor wayfinding units for pedestrians. The aim was to ease navigation challenges on the campus and enhance the functional and sustainable qualities of the space, while aligning with the university’s identity and built environment. The designed units are intended for various predetermined locations across campus based on prior research conducted by Nevset Gul Canakcioglu and her team.

We would like to express our gratitude to our Rector Prof.Dr. Barış Tan for his invaluable visit and continuing support. The project was made possible under the coordination of our Dean of Faculty of Architecture and Design; Prof.Dr. Aslihan Ünlü, Department Head of Industrial Design; Prof.Dr. Alpay Er and the "Campus Location and Wayfinding Working Group" led by Assist.Prof.Dr. Mehmet Saner. We also thank Halil Boran for the exhibition poster layout and graphic design and Teaching Assistants Eda Sarman, Uygar Korkmaz, Beril Baş. The exhibition can be visited until 21. December. 2025 at AB4, the staircase alley between 1st and 2nd floors.

💫Tasarım, Teknoloji ve Toplum Yüksek Lisans Programı ile Endüstriyel Tasarım Lisans Programı öğrencilerimiz ortak bir tasarım araştırması projesi için bir araya geldi. Ortaya çıkan projeler, Politecnico di Milano tarafından düzenlenen ve 06.04.-15.04.2025 tarihleri arasında Fabbrica del Vapore’de gerçekleşecek olan bir sergide, 40 uluslararası tasarım okulunun projeleri arasında yer alarak sergileniyor.

Interdependence - the Design System of Politecnico di Milano at the Milan Design Week 2025 The Polimi Design System (the School of Design, the Department of Design, and POLI.Design) presents “INTERDEPENDENCE: exploring opposites”, a set of initiatives to reflect on how design interacts with polarities and contrasting dimensions, through a selection of projects by students from Politecnico and from a network of about 40 design universities around the world. Ozyeğin University Student Projects are at Milan Design Fair 💫

Undergraduate and graduate students of Ozyegin University, Faculty of Architecture and Design of the "Design, Technology and Society Master Degree Program" and "Industrial Design Undergraduate Program" are teamed up in a design research project. The outcome of their work is exhibited among 40 international design schools as part of an exhibition to be held  between 06.04.-15.04.2025 at Fabbrica del Vapore organized by Polytecnico di Milano.

4.sınıf öğrencimiz Ece Necipoğlu'nun Keep Up projesi, TCI Aircraft Interiors'ın düzenlediği "TCI Uçak Koltuk Parçaları Endüstriyel Tasarım Yarışması" nda 2.lik ödülü aldı. Öğrencimizi tebrik ediyoruz. ✈️🥈
Our 4th grader Ece Necipoğlu won the 2nd place with her project "Keep Up" in industrial design competition organized by TCI Aircraft Interiors. ✈️🥈

Nowadays, monitors are mostly absent in economy class on short-haul flights, and the space where they would be placed is often left empty. In the absence of monitors, passengers spend their time using their own devices, but there is no designated area for them to place these devices. A tablet/phone holder was designed to enhance the viewing experience by positioning personal devices at eye level for the user during the flight.
