Hello, I’m Rufeyda Yağcı. I’m an intern doctor at İstanbul Medipol University International School of Medicine and also a Computer Engineering double major student. 💻🩺

I previously conducted research on early biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease at the University of Cambridge and had the opportunity to present my work at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in Canada. 🌍

I’m currently conducting research in DNA synthesis and synthetic biology at Harvard Medical School’s Church Lab. 🧬

Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a PhD in neuroscience and specialize in neurology, contributing to scientific research and advancing the field. 🎓✨

🌍 A Global Achievement: Medipol Student Becomes the Only Medical Student Selected from Türkiye!

Hajira Karim, a student at İstanbul Medipol University’s International School of Medicine who is also pursuing a double major in Health Management, has been selected as the only medical student from Türkiye for the Swiss Oncology Summer Program, which brings together just 25 medical students from around the world.

Supported by ETH Zurich, one of the world’s top 10 universities and one of Europe’s top three, the program will offer Hajira Karim the opportunity to engage with leading oncologists, cancer researchers, clinicians, and academics while gaining hands-on academic experience in clinical oncology, translational research, and laboratory-based cancer research.

We congratulate our student, who will represent our university on the international stage, and wish her continued success! 👏✨

We Continue to Strengthen Our Academic Collaborations 🌍

Dr. Muthia Pramesti from Universitas Indonesia, one of Indonesia’s leading higher education institutions, visited İstanbul Medipol University’s School of Business and Management Sciences.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Serhat Yüksel, Dean of the School of Business and Management Sciences; Prof. Dr. Hasan Dinçer, Head of the Department of Banking and Insurance; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Pınarbaşı, Head of the Department of International Trade and Finance.

During the meeting, potential academic collaborations and joint initiatives between the two universities were discussed.

We continue to foster new collaborations that strengthen our international academic ties.
