Yönetmenliğini ve senaristliğini Medya ve Görsel Sanatlar Bölümü’nden Öğretim Görevlisi hocamız Ali Vatansever’in üstlendiği , Tallinn Black Nights Film Festivali’nin Official Selection Competition bölümünde yarışarak En İyi Yönetmen Ödülü’nü kazandı. Kendisini tebrik ediyoruz. 🎬

Written and directed by our faculty member, Koç University Media and Visual Arts Lecturer Ali Vatansever, competed in the Official Selection Competition at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and won the Best Director Award. We extend our congratulations. 🎬

Medya ve Görsel Sanatlar Bölümü’nden Doç. Dr. İpek Azime Çelik Rappas, Avrupa Araştırma Konseyi'nden (ERC) Advanced Grant almaya hak kazandı!

TÜBİTAK ERC Baş Araştırmacı Geliştirme Programı (EBAG) kapsamında desteklenen “DUVARLARDAN KÖPRÜLERE: Hapishane Topluluklarının Medya Üretimi” adlı proje, bu yıl ERC’den bu desteği almaya hak kazanan ülkemizden tek proje oldu. Medya yoluyla toplumsal bağları güçlendirmeyi amaçlayan proje 5 sürecek ve Türkiye, Fransa, Birleşik Krallık ve ABD’yi kapsayacak.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. İpek Azime Çelik Rappas from the Department of Media and Visual Arts has been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant by the European Research Council!

Supported under TÜBİTAK’s ERC Principal Investigator Development Program (EBAG), the project “WALLS TO BRIDGES: Media Production of Prison Communities” is the only project from Türkiye to receive this ERC grant this year. Focused on strengthening social connections through media, the project will span five years and include fieldwork in Türkiye, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. C. Ceyhun Arslan from Comparative Literature who has started working as a co-editor-in-chief for one of the most important journals in his field, Middle Eastern Literatures.

For more information on the journal:

Publishes research on all Middle Eastern literatures: Persian, Turkish, post-Biblical and modern Hebrew, Kurdish or Urdu, and regional literatures.
