Uluslararası Proje Destek Ofisi ve Yenilikçi Öğretme ve Öğrenme Birimi ortak etkinliği kapsamında Ege Üniversitesi’nin ortağı olduğu AB ERASMUS+ programı kapsamında Portekiz Ulusal Ajansı tarafından desteklenen 2021-1-PT01-KA220-HED-000032069 proje numaralı Far-Future Strategy Development for STEM Higher Education Teachers (FIT4FUTURE) adlı projenin üçüncü çoğaltıcı etkinliği olan “FIT4FUTURE Geleceğe yönelik uzun vadeli tahminler (Long-term forecasting for the future)” 25/04/2024 tarihinde saat 12.30-15.30 saatleri arasında Yaşar Üniversitesi kampüsünde yer alan Y 010 salonunda gerçekleştirilecektir. Etkinlik, STEM (Bilim, Teknoloji, Mühendislik ve Matematik) alanlarında eğitim veren öğretim elemanlarına, LTFS alanında çalışan araştırmacılar ve konu üzerine çalışan sektör uzmanlarına açık olup, proje çıktılarının tanıtımını kapsayacaktır. Etkinlik kapsamında bir coffee break ikramımız ve promosyon hediyelerimiz olacaktır.

Joint event of the International Project Support Office and the Innovative Teaching and Learning Unit,

Far-Future Strategy Development for STEM Higher Education Teachers (FIT4FUTURE) with project number 2021-1-PT01-KA220-HED-000032069, supported by the Portuguese National Agency within the scope of the EU ERASMUS+ program, of which Ege University is a partner, “FIT4FUTURE Long-term forecasting for the future“, the third multiplier event of the project, will be held on 25/04/2024 between 12.30-15.30 in Hall Y 010 on the Yaşar University campus. The event is open to faculty members teaching in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), researchers working in the field of LTFS and industry experts working on the subject, and will include the promotion of project outputs. We will have a coffee break and promotional gifts as part of the event.

Introducing the new capacity enhancing partnership project VIETMUS - VIETnam Music Universities Spurring!

🎶 In the context of Vietnamese Higher Music Education (HME), the project seeks to further digital transformation and develop new digital capacities for performance and instruction. Key competences will be strengthened as a result of VIETMUS, particularly creative transdisciplinary skills that link technology, business, internationalization, music, performance, and social impact. Through the project, new networks will be formed, long-term ICT connections between Europe and Vietnam will be developed, and a national network of excellence will be strengthened.

📍The VIETMUS project was out with a conference in the Conservatorio Alessandro Scarlatti in Palermo on September 11 and 12, bringing together officials from Vietnamese universities together with project partners from Italy, Turkey, and Belgium.

The kick-off meeting of the VIETMUS project took place on 11-12 September at the Conservatorio di Musica Alessandro Scarlatti in Palermo, gathering project partners from Italy, Turkey and Belgium, as well as representatives from Vietnamese universities who form part of the consortium.

Learning Teaching Training Activities in Digital Learning and Cyber Performance - LTTA2 (Feb 25-29, 2024)!

LTTA2 in Malmö focus on new learning strategies and methods in digital learning for music students in higher musical education (HME), such as innovative IT models, cyber and distance performance techniques and strategies. The program consists of lectures, workshops, performances and seminars with international researchers, teachers and stage performance artists from the participating music academies.

Following the opening speeches of Yaşar University International Project Support Office Director Güldan KALEM, Ministry of Foreign Affairs EU Specialist Ceyhan ÇİÇEK and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Prof. Dr. Yiğit KAZANÇOGLU, EU Specialist Dr. Petek KARATEKELİOĞLU from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided information about the EU Program Opportunities for Higher Education Institutions. Then, the Communications Coordinator of the Turkish National Agency Dr. Rana KASAPOĞLU ÖNDER presented Opportunities for Higher Education Institutions in the Erasmus+ Program. Empowering Girls in STEM: 'Women in Innovation' Event Showcases Horizon 2020 CALIPER Project 🚀

🌐👩‍🔬In a significant stride towards fostering gender equality in research and innovation, the Horizon 2020 CALIPER project recently hosted the second edition of the 'Women in Innovation (WIN)' event on December 28th, 2023. The event, organized by Yaşar University, garnered participation from 119 enthusiastic attendees, with a primary focus on raising awareness and encouraging more girls to explore opportunities in STEM research.
The event commenced with opening speeches by Prof. Dr. Gökay Özerim, the coordinator of the Horizon 2020 CALIPER project at Yaşar University. Prof. Dr. Özerim also delivered a comprehensive presentation on the CALIPER project, setting the stage for discussions on gender, diversity, and the pivotal role of women in fostering innovation.
Following the engaging presentations, the event facilitated a round of discussions centering on gender, diversity, and inclusion, with a particular focus on the significant contributions of women in the field of innovation.
The culmination of the event featured Ms. Burcu Kiper from the YU CALIPER team, who delivered an insightful presentation on career development opportunities for women in STEM areas. Ms. Kiper also highlighted international education and internship prospects for young individuals.
A notable aspect of the event was the active participation of over 100 female high school students. The initiative aimed to spark interest among young women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. It also sought to underscore the pivotal role that women play in the realm of innovation.
The 'Women in Innovation' event stands as a testament to the Horizon 2020 CALIPER project's dedication to promoting gender equality, encouraging diversity, and fostering an inclusive environment for the next generation of innovators. 🌐👩‍🔬

Insights from the joint for the CALIPER Project! in Université libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium!

📌The event was moderated by the project coordinator Kiki Karydou from ViLabs and Tindara Addabbo from UNIMORE. The partners came together to join a lively discussion on Gender Equality in Innovation and Research, development and implementation of GEPs, gender budgeting in institutions, diversity and inclusivity in research funding, gender dimensions mainstreaming and much more!

📌 The CALIPER - Linking Research and Innovation for Gender Equality under the European Union Horizon 2020 Program supports seven Research Performing Organizations (RPOs) and two Research Funding Organizations (RFOs) in nine countries, including Belgium, Croatia, Italy, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Turkey.

We have hosted the “Integration of Diversity and Gender Dimension into Institutional Policies and Strategies” online event on November 16th!

Yaşar University Jean Monnet Center of Excellence is a partner in the CALIPER - Linking Research and Innovation for Gender Equality Project under the European Union Horizon 2020 Program. The event successfully introduced the CALIPER Charter to representatives from academia, business, public and civil society. We established a conversation on the integration of gender and diversity into policies and strategies.

“Çeşitlilik ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Boyutunun Kurumsal Politika ve Stratejilere Entegrasyonu” çevrimiçi etkinliğimiz 16 Kasım tarihinde gerçekleşti!

Etkinlik, Yaşar Üniversitesi Jean Monnet Mükemmeliyet Merkezi tarafından Avrupa Birliği Ufuk 2020 Programı kapsamında desteklenen ve Yaşar Üniversitesinin ortak olarak yer aldığı “CALIPER – Cinsiyet Eşitliği için Araştırma ve Yenilikçilik” başlıklı proje kapsamında geliştirilen CALIPER Beyannamesini üniversite, iş dünyası, kamu ve sivil toplum temsilcilerine başarıyla tanıttı. Toplumsal cinsiyet ve çeşitliliğin politika ve stratejilere entegrasyonuna dair bir diyalog sağladı.
