Manisa Celal Bayar University International Student Admission Selection Exam (YÖS) was held.

The exam for foreign students to be placed in programs at associate and undergraduate levels was held online on Sunday, September 6 between 14:00 and 15:20 due to the measures taken against the Kovid-19 outbreak. 80 questions were asked to the candidates in the exam, to which 1289 candidates applied and 964 of them successfully completed it.

Candidates with a score of 93 and above in the exam will be able to make a choice within the quota of 5 foreign students reserved for our university's Faculty of Medicine. Those who score 50 and above will be able to enroll in Engineering, Health Sciences and Hasan Ferdi Turgutlu Technology Faculties, and candidates with a score of 35 and above will be able to include other undergraduate and associate degree programs of our university in their preference lists.

While the average of the questions answered correctly was 47 in the exam with 80 questions, the candidates got an average of 59 points out of 100. When the distribution of the scores of 964 candidates is examined, it is seen that the exam results comply with the normal distribution.

After the announcement of the exam results, students who are eligible for placement will gain the right to enroll by taking advantage of the quota of foreign students according to the ranking of their scores and in line with their preferences.

Professor of Dermatology and Venereal Diseases, Faculty of Medicine, Manisa Celal Bayar University. Dr. Serap Öztürkcan conveyed information about raising awareness about the disease and misunderstandings in the society within the scope of October 29 "World Psoriasis Day".

Öztürkcan stated that some patients were excluded due to the concern that it is contagious and that this also causes psychological problems, and that this disease may accompany diseases such as joint involvement, heart diseases, high blood pressure and diabetes.

He is also the President of Manisa Psoriasis Association. Dr. Öztürkcan explained that psoriasis is a disease that manifests itself with white dandruff on red plaques, it is often seen in the 15-35 age range without any gender intensity and impairs the quality of life of the person.

Prof. Dr. Serap Öztürkcan, pointing out that they took some measures in the treatment of psoriasis during the coronavirus epidemic, said:

"Some drugs we use in the treatment suppress the immune system. Therefore, patients need to pay more attention to Kovid-19 measures. We estimate that there are 2 million psoriasis patients in our country. For this reason, we made some recommendations to our patients during the pandemic period.
