César García from Guatemala
—
My name is César and I'm from Guatemala.
Since I was in high school I developed a huge interest in technology, especially related to software development, applications, and games, So I decided to study as a Computer Systems Engineer at University Rafael Landivar in Guatemala where I graduated with a Summa Cum Laude recognition.
During my time in College I gained a lot of knowledge about how Systems and Applications can be developed and how they work internally. Along with my degree, I had the opportunity to start working since my 3rd year, which help me a lot to understand how the concepts learned in class can be applied in the real world. During these years I had the opportunity to learn from a lot of people, not only at a technical level but also from the way they think and how they analyze everything. And something that kept my attention was that the majority of people that I started to admire had the opportunity to study abroad, either for a short or long period or time, that make them change the way they see life drastically, so I decided to start looking different opportunities around the world, and the IMPISA program at NTHU keep my attention since the beginning.
The IMPISA program at NTHU is a great program helping me expand my knowledge from both technical and non-technical skills, along with giving me the chance to know and learn from Taiwanese culture and also from the culture of the countries of all my other international classmates like Thailand, Philippines, Honduras, United States, etc.
