恭喜材料系葉哲寧助理教授榮獲本校第 29 屆新進人員研究獎 🥳

Assistant Professor Che-Ning Yeh from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, College of Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, has received the 29th NTHU New Faculty Research Award.

Her research focuses on advanced battery materials and electrochemical systems. The original feature also shares her approach to mentoring students, emphasizing integrity, teamwork, and helping students develop ownership of their own research questions.

🏆【新進人員研究獎｜葉哲寧老師】

「只要有決心，遇到困難一定有辦法解決。」
— 讓學生自己找到想研究的問題，談研究裡的陪伴與成長。這是哲寧老師在碩士班時，從指導教授游萃蓉老師身上學到的一句話。從清大研究生、赴美深造，到幾年前回到母校任教，這份對研究的信念，也一路延續到如今帶領學生的方式。

談到這次獲得新進人員研究獎，老師坦言第一個感覺是「蠻驚喜的」。
成為老師後，同時面對教學、研究、實驗室建置與家庭生活，前幾年的確需要在不同角色之間不斷調整。但老師也一步一步把教學、研究與團隊建立起來，讓研究方向逐漸清晰，累積多年的成果也開始慢慢開花。回頭看這段歷程，她認為自己一路累積的研究訓練與經驗，讓她更確定想做的事，也更有信心帶著學生一起往前走。

「這是你自己發想出來的研究題目。」
老師希望學生對自己的研究有一份歸屬感，而不是單純接下老師交代的題目。因此，她會讓學生先閱讀文獻、了解領域現況，再自己思考想解決的問題與可能的方法。學生一開始的想法有時候很「天馬行空」，老師反而覺得這是有趣的部分，再透過一次次討論，陪著學生把想法慢慢轉化成實際可行的研究。讓學生真正參與研究、找到問題，也相信自己能找到答案，除了研究本身，老師也很在意實驗室裡的相處方式。

她最重視的是 integrity。
對她而言，integrity 不只是誠實面對自己的實驗結果與數據，也包含做研究、與人合作以及待人處事的誠信。另一件很在意的事情，則是團隊之間的互助合作。她常跟學生說，彼此並沒有競爭關係，一個人做得好，並不會影響另一個人也做得好。知道的事情就分享，遇到問題就一起討論，大家才能一起進步。

從清大研究生，到如今回到母校成為老師，這一路沒有一路衝刺的標準答案，但每個階段都有當時最重要的事情。而當年從恩師身上學到的那份相信——相信自己有能力面對問題，也相信困難終究能找到解法——如今也成為老師帶著學生一起做研究、走過一個個難關時，想傳下去的信念。

恭喜工工系 張國浩教授 榮獲國立清華大學 114 年度產學合作績優獎 🤩

Professor Kuo-Hao Chang, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, College of Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, has received the 2025 NTHU Outstanding Industry-Academia Collaboration Award.

His research spans big data analytics and optimization, statistical learning, AI applications, and smart manufacturing, highlighting his contributions to bridging industrial engineering research and practical industry applications.

恭喜材料系 賴志煌教授 榮獲國立清華大學第13屆傑出產學研究獎 🥳

Professor Chih-Huang Lai from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, College of Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, has received the NTHU 13th Distinguished Industry-Academia Research Award.

His research spans magnetic memory, solar energy, advanced packaging, and resource recycling, grounded in core expertise in thin-film processing, materials engineering, and surface engineering.

Professor Lai’s work reflects a problem-driven approach to industry-academia collaboration, combining practical technology development with a deep understanding of scientific principles and industry needs.

🏆【校傑出產學研究獎｜賴志煌老師】

「你要有自己的核心技術，而且這個核心技術要能補上產業的關鍵不足。」

從磁性記憶體、太陽能，到近年的先進封裝與資源循環，老師的研究一路跨足不同領域，背後卻始終有一條清楚的主軸——從薄膜製程、材料與表面工程的核心能力出發，解決產業真正遇到的問題。
「我不是只會做薄膜，我其實也懂設備。」

實驗室裡多台依照研究需求自行設計的設備，以及多年累積的材料與產業合作夥伴，讓團隊面對不同的產業問題時，不只是告訴企業「能不能做」，更能進一步找出「為什麼不行、問題在哪裡」。而這也是老師一直很重視的事：產學合作不只是取得研究資源，更重要的是成為企業真正信任、願意長期合作的 partner。這份信任，是一次次解決問題慢慢累積起來的。

🔬 從「換題目」到「重新出發」
當團隊從做了十多年的太陽能轉向先進封裝時，老師也曾經很認真地思考：「接下來呢？」
花了約八個月盤點產業需求、研究環境與自身能力後，團隊決定投入先進封裝。對老師來說，跨領域不是把過去歸零，而是把多年累積的能力帶到新的問題裡。

資源循環研究則是另一個有趣的故事。
一開始，是學生一直遊說老師「要不要做回收」。老師原本其實沒什麼興趣，還先要求學生把材料製程的基本功做好。沒想到幾年後，學生仍然回來說：「老師，我想做 recycle。」就這樣，在學生的堅持下，老師也一步步被說服，讓原本不在研究主軸裡的回收研究，慢慢發展成今天的重要方向。

🚄 為了解決問題，學生真的去了花蓮
談到產學合作最讓人印象深刻的故事，老師笑著分享，曾經為了解決一項製程問題，而當時全台能進行相關製程的設備就在花蓮。
老師很快做了決定：「馬上去花蓮租房子。」
學生真的去了。早上線上討論，白天完成製程，樣品再一路送回新竹，晚上繼續做後續製程、量測，隔天早上再看數據、決定下一步。這樣兩地接力的研究，一做就是好幾個月。最後團隊確實做出了成果，也讓企業真正看見：有些事情不是一句「做不到」就結束，而是要把它做出來、把數據拿出來，才能知道真正的限制在哪裡。
「做產學合作，要站在企業的角度想，理解他真正期待的是什麼。」
也許正是這樣一次次站在產業的角度思考，讓老師與企業建立起長久的合作與信任。

🔍 技術要做得出來，理論也要說得清楚
在老師眼中，產學與學術從來不是二選一。
「我希望的是技術跟理論都要有。」
把企業需要的技術做出來，也把背後的科學原理弄清楚；讓研究能解決眼前的問題，也能留下值得繼續探索的學術價值。從核心技術出發，主動走進產業；在一次次真實的問題裡，帶著學生一起摸索、一起解題。或許這就是賴老師一路走來的產學研究方式——不是等待問題找上門，而是帶著自己的核心技術，主動去找到值得解決的問題。

恭喜化工系 林昆翰助理教授 🥳

Assistant Professor Kun-Han Lin from the Department of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, has received the 29th NTHU New Faculty Research Award.

His research focuses on multiscale simulation and organic semiconductor materials, combining first-principles calculations, molecular dynamics simulations, and kinetic Monte Carlo methods to advance materials design and optimization.

化工系捷報連連！恭喜段興宇教授、潘詠庭副教授與林育正副教授🥳

Congratulations to Professor Hsing-Yu Tuan, Associate Professor Yung-Ting Pan, and Associate Professor Yu-Jeng Lin from the Department of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering, National Tsing Hua University.

The three faculty members have received major awards from Taiwan’s Chemical Engineering Society, recognizing their research achievements at different stages of their careers. Their work spans electrochemical energy storage, nanomaterials, energy catalytic materials, fuel cells, in situ materials characterization, carbon capture technologies, chemical process modeling and design, and thermodynamic simulation.

Professor Wei-Chang Yeh, Advantech Chair Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, College of Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, has been elected a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

His research focuses on network reliability, , machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, , and . In recent years, Professor Yeh has continued to advance AI-enabled engineering applications through extensive publications, granted patents, and industry-academia projects in areas such as digital twins, intelligent manufacturing, automated design, and production scheduling.
