🔔 Air-Defense Exercise Reminder
📢Pingtung County and Kaohsiung City will conduct the "Urban Resilience (Air Defense) Drill" on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 13:30 to 14:00. During this time, you will receive an air-raid alert and an all-clear message on your mobile phone.
All students are required to follow the regulations and remain indoors during the drill to avoid penalties.
Violators will be fined NT$30,000 to NT$150,000 in accordance with the Civil Defense Act.
📣 Siren Instructions:
Air-raid alarm activation: 1 long tone + 2 short tones, repeated 3 times (115 seconds total)
All-clear signal: 1 uninterrupted long tone lasting 90 seconds
📌 Evacuation Guidelines in Different Situations:
🏠 Indoors:Move away from windows and balconies, shut doors, windows, electricity, and gas. Go to the basement or designated air-raid shelter. Use your phone or radio to stay informed.
🍽️ In Restaurants:You may continue eating, but the restaurant must stop cooking, turn off electricity and gas, and restrict entry/exit.
🏬 In Shopping Malls:Follow public announcements and evacuate as instructed. Do not leave the shelter until the all-clear signal is given.
🚶 Outdoors:Immediately seek shelter in nearby underground or sturdy buildings. Avoid open areas, bridges, or power poles. Follow instructions from police and civil defense personnel.
🚗 While Driving:Pull over, turn off the engine, get out of the vehicle, and find nearby shelter. Do not enter restricted areas or underpasses.
🚴 While Riding Shared Bikes or Vehicles (e.g., YouBike):Stop immediately at the roadside and follow evacuation instructions from police or civil defense personnel.
🚉 In Stations or Airports:Passengers waiting for trains/flights are not required to evacuate, but arriving or disembarking passengers must follow staff instructions for evacuation drills.
📦 Delivery & Ride-Hailing Services:Due to evacuation protocols during the drill, food delivery and ride-hailing services will be temporarily suspended or delayed.
