本中心以結合校內外藝文資源，推動校園藝文活動，進而構築嘉藥文化生活圈為宗旨，設有「嘉南藝苑」與「嘉南文化藝術館」兩大展館。除展覽活動外，亦舉辦演奏會、舞臺劇、舞蹈表演、影展等藝術欣賞活動；演講、研習、工作坊、體驗營等教育性活動，並舉辦校內才藝競賽，豐富南臺灣與嘉藥的藝術環境，歡迎ㄧ般民眾及各級學校蒞臨參觀。
