It was too hard to choose just one photo, so here's a whole carousel to mark the election of the new student representatives of SAC 😍🤝

Neaco () and Roxane () are the new elected student representatives for next academic year at SAC!

Nickki () and Reuben (), previous student representatives, worked hard all year attending meetings, assisting with graduation matters and being the voice of SAC students at TNUA. Now, they pass the torch to Neaco and Roxane, first-year students ready to step in and keep up the good work. 加油 👏💜🤩

Thank you Nickki and Reuben for an amazing year! 辛苦了🔥

🤸‍♂️ Movement and Sound 🔊

The course "Embodied Interfaces: Movement, Media and Collective Creation" had a special workshop this week with international guest lecturer Jean Geoffroy!

The percussionist developed a sound and movement interface that captures gestures and links them to audio outputs. Students had the opportunity to use the technology and explore how to control sound using their own body movements. The workshop took place in TNUA's ManFei Theater, at the Theatre Arts and Dance Building.

"Embodied Interfaces" is a SAC course created in collaboration with the Music and Image Trans-Disciplinary Program (), led by Professors Shao-Ting Sun and Cheng-Chieh Yu.

🎧 Performance time 🥟

SAC student Luiz Moura is performing in the south of Taiwan this weekend!

Luiz, who performs under the name ZIMO, will be joined by TNUA student 林廷謙 this Friday at Absence Space, a collaborative arts community located in Tainan. In this interactive music/cooking performance, the duo will play as DJs at the same time as they prepare and cook 100 dumplings – one performer cooks while the other plays. On top of that, the audience will have the power to make the two of them switch places at any time 🏃‍♂️

SAC students visited Absence Space last year, during a field trip from the course "Performing Arts in Taiwan and Beyond", organized by Professors I-Wen Chang and Meng-Yu Lai. Absence Space is a non-profit artist's creation base, which fosters exchange and sharing between artists from different fields and backgrounds through artistic production and community-building.

Step into the rhythm of the city! 💃✨
SAC全程參與2026 艋舺國際舞蹈節

As part of our 'Festival and International Networking' class, last week students headed into the vibrant world of the Want To Dance Festival (艋舺國際舞蹈節)—with a full three-day pass to experience it all from the inside out.
Centred on the theme of “Sublimation” for this year, the festival transforms Bangka (Wanhua) into a dynamic meeting point where artists and communities across cultures, ethnicities, and genders come together. It’s not just about watching performances—it’s about witnessing how contemporary creativity engages with real social contexts.
From the Open Call, International Exchange and Curator's programs to workshops and lectures, the festival offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at how a major arts event is programmed, produced, and brought to life across multiple venues.
For our students, this is more than a festival—it’s a living classroom, a networking hub, and a deep dive into how art connects with community. 🌏🎭

🤝 Collaboration as a Creative Language 🤝

SAC had the pleasure of hosting a lecture featuring TTC Studios 張碩尹工作室, artist studio run by Ting-Tong Chang! The artist has over a decade of practice experience in London, having developed long-term collaborations with major museums, commercial galleries and art fairs across Europe and Asia.

The students of Professor Ya-wen Fu's "Seminar on Art and Future Technology" class attended the talk, titled “Collaboration as a Creative Language: From Visual Art to Immersive Projects”. The lecturer focused on the idea of collaboration not only as a method of production, but as a creative language in itself within contemporary art and cross-disciplinary projects.
