Assistant Professor Thanavi Chotpradit has recently published "Letter to K", an essay in the form of a letter reflecting on Womanifesto and women art professionals in Thailand. The essay is part of The Womanifesto Way Digital Anthology Project, a collaborative artist-led archival, anthology, and art history project developed by the Power Institute at the University of Sydney.

📢ICA Kyoto | International Symposium 2026 — Advance Notice

ICA Kyoto will host its annual International Symposium this October.
This year, practitioners from art universities, professional organizations, independent platforms, theaters, and alternative schools will gather in Kyoto. A guest from the field of football will also join, offering a cross-disciplinary look at how people develop. How might education and society, cultivation and autonomy, experimentation and institutional structure intersect? Together, we will consider the current landscape of art incubation and education, and what lies ahead.

A Filipino cultural worker and arts educator with extensive experience in international visual arts administration, resource coordination, and collaborative practice. Specializing in public speaking, cross-cultural communication, and arts research, their writing has been published in leading online media platforms in the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates. They are dedicated to broadening public engagement with the arts and humanities through education and cultural initiatives.

✨CCSCA 10th Anniversary Alumni Feature 💫

Eunhyun Park (Class of 2020) is a curator, researcher, and sound performer based in Seoul and Gwangju, South Korea. Informed by feminist and decolonial perspectives, her practice explores overlooked voices and fragmented memories through archives, sound, and collective practice.

She currently works as an exhibition manager at the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), where she develops exhibitions for Korea Season in collaboration with cultural institutions, artists, and local practitioners in partner countries. Her work examines how cultural narratives are translated and reshaped across different contexts.

Since 2017, she has explored how memories of the past are carried into the present and continually reinterpreted through research and curatorial practice. Her curatorial projects include We Will Roll the Stone Again Tomorrow (2018) at Over.Lab and Nets of Fragmented Memories (2022) at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts in Taipei.

Her research spans feminist art in Korea and Taiwan, as well as the histories of women electronic musicians in Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan. In 2024, she conducted archival research on the Jung Kangja Collection at the Asia Culture Center, focusing on Korean performance art of the 1960s and 1970s.

Eunhyun also performs with RE KOREA, a Seoul-based community for women and q***r people interested in experimenting with sound, learning together, and playing together. In 2026, she initiated Layered Ears, an ongoing sound walk project that explores Seoul’s layered histories through walking and listening to sounds that are present, absent, and imagined.

Thanks for visiting CCSCA.

On 7 July, three emerging curators from the DOOSAN Curator Workshop visited CCSCA to learn more about our curatorial education program. They were accompanied by their supervisor, Binna Choi, who curated the South Korea Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. The workshop is organized by the DOOSAN Art Center and DOOSAN Gallery.

Later, on July 17, Takuya Tsutsumi, Associate Professor at ICA Kyoto and Co-director of Yamanaka Suplex, also visited CCSCA. During his visit, he met and chatted with two first-year and two second-year students to understand the value of CCSCA, especially in curating and art writing.

The essay "CCSCA and Global Engagement" by Assistant Professor Thanavi Chotpradit has been published in the NTUE Newsletter. Available in both English and Mandarin on pages 17–20.

The essay highlights the CCSCA programme throughout the year, international collaborations, student activities and achievements, and two overseas study trips—to Seoul (2025) and Bangkok (2026), including visits with CCSCA alumni in both cities.

✨ CCSCA 10th Anniversary Alumni Feature 💫

Ngô Thanh (Class of 2022) is based in Hanoi, Vietnam, and works across curating, independent research, education, the arts, and cinema. Her two years participating in the CCSCA program were profoundly meaningful, allowing her to develop a deeper sensory connection with Taiwan - a land she had first encountered through the films of Hou Hsiao-hsien and Edward Yang more than a decade earlier.

Through her studies, observations, and lived experiences, she gradually gained a clearer understanding of Taiwan's artistic and political landscape, particularly its ongoing efforts to shape national identity through a commitment to respecting diversity. This experience has inspired her writing, public engagement, and artistic practice, focusing on questions of equality, politics, aesthetics, and decoloniality within Vietnam's contemporary art landscape.

After returning to Hanoi in 2024, she served as curator for the exhibition complex Breathing Space - Traces of Time at the Hanoi Children's Palace as part of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival (2024). She also presented the paper Writing as ‘the Distribution of the Sensible’ at the First Curatorial Symposium, organized by Á Space and VNU-SIS (2024), The politics of Tình (情/sentiment): Alternative Narratives of Vietnam in Art and Visual Culture at the workshop Beyond the Colonial Echoes, organized by the Goethe-Institut and APD - Art Patronage & Development (2025), and Cinematic Fiction and the Framing of Childhood: Journeys through Poverty, War, and Memory at the Children from the Page to the Screen Research Presentation Symposium, organized by the Institute of Literature, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (2026).
