好啦反正今天要跟大家介紹 iGEM
這個陽明謎樣的都市傳說
iGEM
(international genetic engineering machine)
由麻省理工學院
(Massachusetts Institute of Technology，MIT)
主辦
陽明大學參加超過12年的合成生物學競賽

簡單來說
我們會去尋找一個問題
然後會去找出問題的生物解決方法
再然後會去用基因編輯的技術
實現我們的生物解決方法
(e.g. 製造會產生
human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2
recepter binding domain的E.coli
沒有在偷渡什麼2020 NYMU-Taipei啦XD )

只要你對實驗室有興趣，
或是想要動動腦筋發揮自己的想像力的話，
你就是最適合 IGEM 的人才。
而且而且
iGEM不只做濕實驗
(wet lab，你想像中的各種藥劑瓶瓶罐罐)
還會牽涉到乾實驗
(dry lab，計算分析實驗模型或對過程進行模擬)
以及社會互動和公益(Human Practice)
網站設計(Wiki design)
各方面的人才都很需要
不會也都沒有關係，可以先來聽說明會

隱形眼鏡是一種直接戴在眼球表面的超薄鏡片，在生活中十分常見，對近視患者而言，能夠幫助他們擺脫眼鏡造成的負擔；對愛美的人而言，則可以作為點綴雙眸的好夥伴。但你是否想過，這樣一對小小的鏡片，會帶來嚴重的環境汙染？

根據2016年我國經濟部統計，台灣一年可生產14億片隱形眼鏡，然而，其拋棄方式經常是以一般垃圾、洗手台排水孔，或是沖入馬桶為主。於是，這些隱形眼鏡接著流入污水處理廠，被分裂成微型塑膠，廣泛污染了台灣的自來水、海水以及貝類。

今年，iGEM NYMU與 iGEM NCKU-Tainan 團隊制定了隱眼回收計畫！我們將於 9/14開始，在學校 各宿舍放置隱眼回收箱，向大家回收已使用過的隱眼，並透過藝術活動，賦予這些廢棄物新的價值！

第六屆iGEM亞太交流會正式落幕，我們與多隊隊伍在中興大學來了一場合成生物學的盛宴。10月的正式比賽正緊緊逼近，在這次的交流會中看到21個隊伍、21個巧思的火花，也看到自己團隊的問題和不足。我們要在剩下兩個月拼盡全力，在波士頓的賽場上不後悔！
The 6th Asia-Pacific iGEM Conference has drawn to an end. We and other teams got together and had heated discussions on synthetic biology. We saw 21 teams, 21 different ideas, and also noted our own advantages and problems. As the competition approaches, we will do all we can in the next two months, and shine on the competition sage in Boston!

We’re at the end of May!
Member intro is planned to finish at the start of June, so cherish the remaining!
This time we are serving the handsome Japanese boy — Katsuhito Hayashi!
Hito is the sunshine boy of our team.
He plays badminton and many other sports, which makes him look tanned, healthy and strong.
In the team, he is active in both arts and wiki teams, so let’s look forward to what he is about to create!

Buenos Dias!(or is it Buenas noches/tardes for some of you?)
We’re almost done with member intros!
Staging today is our cute team mascot — Wei-Tung Chen!
Gluttonous Wei-Tung is an efficient member of our team. He booked our plane tickets to Boston and is now handling most of the human practice affairs now, so remember to give him a big smile if he pop up in your life someday!
