新學期迎來嶄新氣象！實踐大學於 9 月 15 日舉行「115學年度第1學期境外生開學典禮」，迎來全球 31 個國家、共 360 名境外新生（含 264 位學位生、69 位交換生及 27 位雙聯生）。

典禮由學生鼓隊帶來氣勢磅礡的擊鼓演出震撼揭幕，激昂鼓聲象徵跨越國界的求學起點！謝孟雄董事長親臨勉勵新生開拓全球視野、深刻體驗臺灣文化；洪久賢校長、郭壽旺副校長及各系所師長亦齊聚一堂，給予境外生最溫暖的指引與支持。

國際化不只是跨國移動，更是讓多元文化走進校園日常。360 段青春故事在實踐交會，期待大家在友善開放的校園中勇敢探索，寫下專屬於自己的精彩國際篇章！

🌍 The World Meets at USC: Welcoming 360 International Freshmen from 31 Countries! 🥁✨

A vibrant new academic chapter begins! On September 15, Shih Chien University (USC) held the Fall 2026 Orientation Ceremony for International Students, welcoming 360 newcomers from 31 countries worldwide (including 264 degree-seeking students, 69 exchange students, and 27 dual-degree students).

The event opened with a powerful and rhythmic performance by the USC Student Drum Troupe, beating the drums to mark an inspiring beginning for our students' journey in Taiwan. Board Chairman Dr. Meng-Hsiung Hsieh personally welcomed the students, encouraging them to broaden their global perspectives and build lasting cross-cultural friendships. President Dr. Jiun-Hsien Jou, Vice President Dr. Shou-Wang Kuo, and faculty members across colleges also joined to show their warmest support.

Internationalization is more than cross-border mobility—it brings global culture into our everyday campus life. With 360 distinct journeys converging at USC, we wish every student an unforgettable and inspiring journey ahead!

【實踐大學深化日本姊妹校合作：郭壽旺副校長赴學習院大學(Gakushuin University)進行專題演講】

實踐大學持續深化與日本姊妹校合作，積極推動學生交流與多元國際合作。2026年7月13日(一)，本校郭壽旺副校長受日本學習院大學國際社會科學部(Faculty of International Social Sciences)院長 Tetsuya Usui 教授邀請，赴該校進行專題演講，與189位學生分享台灣留學、跨文化交流及未來職涯發展等議題。

本次演講以國際交流與跨文化經驗為主軸，郭副校長從台灣高等教育環境出發，分享在台灣求學的特色，以及學生如何透過交換計畫、跨文化交流與跨領域學習拓展國際視野；同時結合國際關係與國際企業等專業領域，帶領學生思考全球環境快速變化下，國際交流經驗對未來學習及職涯發展的重要性。

學習院大學為實踐大學重要的日本姊妹校之一，雙方長期維持良好合作關係，持續推動學生交換與校際交流。今年9月，學習院大學亦將有4位同學將赴本校參與交換計畫，期盼透過在台生活及與各國學生互動，更深入認識台灣文化!

透過本次演講與交流，實踐大學不僅向更多日本學生介紹台灣高等教育及赴台交換的機會，也進一步深化與學習院大學的姊妹校合作關係。未來兩校將持續推動學生交流、教師互訪、跨領域學習及共創共學，拓展更多元的國際合作，為台日學生創造更多跨國交流與學習機會。

【Shih Chien University Strengthens Partnership with Gakushuin University】

Shih Chien University continues to strengthen its partnerships with partner universities in Japan and promote student exchange and international collaboration. On July 13, 2026, Vice President Dr. Tony Kuo was invited by Professor Tetsuya Usui, Dean of the Faculty of International Social Sciences at Gakushuin University, to deliver a guest lecture to 189 students on studying in Taiwan, cross-cultural exchange, and future career development.

During the lecture, Dr. Kuo shared insights into Taiwan's higher education environment and the experience of studying in Taiwan. He also discussed how students can broaden their global perspectives through exchange programs, cross-cultural experiences, and interdisciplinary learning. Drawing on topics related to international relations and international business, he encouraged students to consider the importance of cross-cultural understanding and international experience for their future studies and careers.

Gakushuin University is one of Shih Chien University's important partner universities in Japan, and the two institutions have maintained a strong partnership through student exchange and university collaboration. This September, 4 students from Gakushuin University will also join the exchange program at Shih Chien University!

Through this guest lecture, Shih Chien University introduced more Japanese students to Taiwan's higher education and exchange opportunities while further strengthening its partnership with Gakushuin University. Moving forward, the two universities will continue to promote student exchange, faculty visits, interdisciplinary learning, and co-learning and co-creation, creating more opportunities for students from Taiwan and Japan to connect and learn together.

【實踐大學赴日推動國際合作：從日本高中到大學，讓更多學生認識台灣升學與實踐特色】

實踐大學持續推動國際合作，積極與日本學校建立更深入的連結。2026年6月26日(五)，本校郭壽旺副校長赴日本三輪田学園高等学校進行專題演講，向日本高中生介紹台灣文化、台灣高等教育環境，以及赴海外與台灣升學的可能性，讓更多日本學生有機會認識實踐大學。

三輪田学園高等学校為日本女子中高一貫校，重視學生國際視野與自主學習。本次演講對象涵蓋該校高一至高三共約260名學生，郭副校長以「台日文化差異」及「台灣升學發展」為主題，從學生容易理解的文化差異出發，進一步介紹台灣大學生活、學習環境及未來發展，協助有興趣赴海外升學的學生拓展想像。

此外，29日郭副校長亦受邀至日本法政大學GIS學院進行課程演講。法政大學為日本文部科學省指定之超級全球大學計畫成員校，GIS學院（國際教養學部）則以全球議題、跨領域學習及英語授課為特色。本次演講聚焦外國學生在台灣的職涯發展與未來機會，課後亦有學生表達對赴實踐大學交換的興趣。

值得一提的是，實踐大學與法政大學近期已簽署 Study Abroad 計畫，期盼未來能推動更多學生短期學習、課程合作與雙向往來機會。透過本次赴日拜訪，實踐大學不僅將台灣升學資訊帶進日本高中校園，也進一步深化與日本大學端的合作關係，未來將持續為學生創造更多跨國學習與發展機會。

Shih Chien University continues to promote international collaboration with schools in Japan. On June 26, 2026, Vice President Dr. Tony Kuo visited Miwada Gakuen High School in Japan and delivered a special lecture to approximately 260 students from grades 10 to 12.

The lecture focused on “Cultural Differences between Japan and Taiwan” and “Studying Abroad in Taiwan.” Vice President Kuo introduced Taiwanese culture, university life, and the learning environment in Taiwan, helping students gain a better understanding of Taiwan as a possible study destination.

Dr. Kuo was also invited to give a lecture at the Faculty of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies (GIS) at Hosei University. Hosei University is a member of Japan’s Top Global University Project, and GIS is known for its focus on global issues, interdisciplinary learning, and English-taught programs. The lecture centered on career development and future opportunities for international students in Taiwan. After the class, several students expressed interest in joining an exchange program at Shih Chien University.

Shih Chien University and Hosei University have also recently signed a Study Abroad Program agreement, with the hope of creating more opportunities for short-term study, course collaboration, and student mobility. Through this visit, Shih Chien University introduced Taiwan’s higher education opportunities to more Japanese students and further strengthened its collaboration with Japanese partner institutions.

課程首場Guest Lecture邀請到teamLab招募總監山田剛史先生 (Takeshi Yamada)蒞臨分享，帶領學生了解teamLab如何融合科技、藝術、空間設計與互動體驗，創造出具有國際影響力的藝術科技作品。課後，本校媒體傳達設計學系畢業校友、目前任職於teamLab 團隊的學姐，也特別為學弟妹分享在國際團隊工作的實際經驗，以及職涯發展與準備方向。

課程接著以工作坊形式展開，並以 Design for Longevity為核心，學生從台灣與日本共同面對的高齡化社會議題出發，思考設計如何回應不同年齡、文化與生活需求。學生不只在教室中學習，更實際走進東京城市、校園、公共空間與藝術場域，觀察使用者動線、無障礙設計、校園服務與公共設施，從真實場域理解設計如何讓生活更安全、友善且便利。

本工作坊集結跨國師資，包括美國密西根大學李盛弘教授 (Prof. Sheng-Hung Lee)、日本武藏野美術大學岩嵜博論教授 (Prof. Hironori Iwasaki)，以及實踐大學媒體傳達設計學系陳威志副教授共同授課。透過來自台灣、美國與日本不同領域教師的引導，學生得以從設計、社會議題與跨文化觀察等多重角度，重新思考未來生活與高齡化社會中的結合。

本次活動也安排參訪日本姊妹校學習院大學(Gakushuin University)，兩校已於去年正式簽署 MOU，本次參訪不僅讓學生實際認識日本大學校園環境，也透過面對面的交流，促進台日青年對文化差異的理解。 未來實踐大學也將與學習院大學持續深化學術交流、學生互訪與更多國際合作。

這不只是一門課，更是一場把世界帶進學習、把學習帶到世界的實踐。從台北到東京，從教室到城市，從服務設計到藝術科技，從高齡化議題到未來生活想像，實踐大學持續推動以學生為中心的國際教育，讓學生在真實世界中觀察、創作與實踐。

🌏 The World Is Our Classroom! English-taught Program across universities, disciplines, and borders

The program opened with a special Guest Lecture by Mr. Takeshi Yamada, Recruiting Director of teamLab, who shared how teamLab integrates technology, art, and interactive experiences to create globally recognized art-and-technology works. An alumna from Shih Chien University’s Dept. of Communications Design, currently working at teamLab, also shared her experience in an international creative team and offered career advice to students.

The course then continued as a workshop centered on Design for Longevity, exploring how design can respond to the shared aging society challenges faced by Taiwan and Japan. Students learned not only in the classroom, but also through real-world observations in Tokyo’s urban spaces, university campuses, public facilities, and artistic venues.

The workshop was jointly led by Prof. Sheng-Hung Lee from the University of Michigan, Prof. Hironori Iwasaki from Musashino Art University, and Associate Professor Wei-Chih Chen from Shih Chien University, guiding students to rethink future living through design, social issues, and cross-cultural perspectives.

As part of the program, students also visited Gakushuin University, one of Shih Chien University’s partners in Japan. Following the official signing of the MOU between the two universities last year, this visit provided a meaningful opportunity for students to experience a Japanese university campus firsthand and engage in face-to-face exchange with local students.

From Taipei to Tokyo, from classrooms to cities, from service design to art and technology, and from aging society issues to future-oriented design thinking, Shih Chien University continues to promote student-centered international education.

🌏✨ 以料理交流文化，用創意連結世界！
實踐大學境外學生廚藝交流賽熱鬧登場 🍽️

本次由國際事務處辦理的境外學生廚藝交流賽，吸引來自印尼、法國、奈及利亞、日本、德國等近10個國家的近50位境外學生參與。大家以「豆腐」作為指定主要食材，結合家鄉飲食文化、在臺生活經驗與創意發想，完成一道道充滿故事與特色的料理。

除了指定食材外，各組也能自由選擇自選料理，不限食材與形式，讓學生盡情展現團隊合作與跨文化創意。比賽現場香氣四溢、笑聲不斷，也看見不同國家的學生彼此交流、分享料理背後的文化記憶。

🏆 本次共有兩組學生獲得優勝！

其中一組由印尼、奈及利亞及法國學生組成，將豆腐與多種佐料結合，製作成創意 Taco 豆腐料理，展現跨國飲食文化融合的巧思。另一組則由德國及印尼學生組成，以金莎(鴨蛋)搭配豆腐，創作出風味獨特的蛋奶素料理，帶來令人驚喜的創意組合。

實踐大學重視境外學生在臺學習與生活適應，也期待透過多元交流活動，讓學生不只是認識臺灣，更能在校園中展現自己的文化、創意與故事。

一場料理交流賽，不只是比廚藝，更是一次跨越語言與國界的國際交流體驗。期待未來有更多境外學生在實踐大學留下精彩又溫暖的學習回憶！🌟

🌏✨ Bringing Cultures Together Through Food!

Shih Chien University’s Office of International Affairs hosted an International Student Cooking Exchange, bringing together nearly 50 international students from almost 10 countries, including Indonesia, France, Nigeria, Japan, Germany, and more.

This year’s featured ingredient was tofu. Students were invited to create dishes inspired by their home countries, their experiences living in Taiwan, and their own creativity. Each team also had the chance to prepare a freestyle dish using ingredients of their choice, making the event even more diverse and exciting.

The room was filled with delicious aromas, laughter, and great conversations as students shared not only their dishes, but also the stories, memories, and cultures behind them.

🏆 Congratulations to our two winning teams!

One team, with students from Indonesia, Nigeria, and France, created a unique tofu taco by combining tofu with flavorful seasonings and toppings — a creative fusion of different food cultures.

Another team, made up of students from Germany and Indonesia, surprised everyone with a special lacto-ovo vegetarian dish featuring tofu coated with salted egg, showing just how creative tofu can be.

At Shih Chien University, we are committed to supporting international students not only in their studies, but also in their campus life and cultural experiences in Taiwan. Events like this give students the opportunity to express their creativity, share their backgrounds, and build meaningful connections with one another.

More than just a cooking competition, this event was a celebration of culture, friendship, and international exchange. We look forward to creating even more memorable experiences with our international students! 🌟

高雄校區國際專修部學生，參與「2026 陣陣有料－內門紫竹寺宋江陣」競賽活動，以創新方式詮釋台灣傳統文化！

本次表演融合越南經典故事《越王嫁女》，結合台灣宋江陣的陣式與節奏，發展出屬於國際學生的全新版本，展現跨文化創意與表演能量。

來自海外的學生，在短時間內克服語言與文化差異，不僅努力學習華語，更投入密集的宋江陣訓練，從動作到精神，完整體驗台灣在地文化。

💪這不只是一次表演，而是一段關於努力、適應與文化融合的歷程。

🌏🔥 From Language Learning to Cultural Performance!

Students from the International Foundation Program at Shih Chien University’s Kaohsiung Campus participated in the “2026 Neimen Song Jiang Battle Ritual”, bringing a fresh international perspective to Taiwan’s traditional culture.

Inspired by the Vietnamese legend “The King Marries Off His Daughter”, students creatively combined their own cultural story with Taiwan’s iconic Song Jiang Battle Array, developing a unique cross-cultural performance.

Within a short period of time, these international students overcame language barriers and cultural differences. Through intensive Mandarin learning and rigorous training in traditional formations, they demonstrated resilience, dedication, and a deep engagement with local culture.

💪 This is more than a performance — it’s a story of adaptation, perseverance, and cultural connection.

At Shih Chien University’s Taipei Campus, 122 students from the International Foundation Program showcased their Mandarin learning achievements through a creative group video competition!

Under the theme “Taiwan is Actually Like This!”, students explored three key topics:
📍 My Campus Life in Taiwan
📍 Cultural Surprises & Differences
📍 What to Eat? Local Food Adventures

From storytelling to language expression, each video is more than just an assignment — it’s a reflection of how students experience, understand, and connect with life in Taiwan.

🎬 Through the lens, they are not only learning Mandarin — they are using it to share their own stories with the world.

【歡迎印度工商聯合會(Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, FICCI)及大學代表團蒞臨實踐大學交流】

實踐大學誠摯歡迎由印度FICCI高等教育委員會共同主席Prof. (Dr.) Padmakumar Nair，以及FICCI教育與技能發展部主任Dr. Rajesh Pankaj領銜之代表團蒞臨本校參訪交流。

本次由洪久賢校長及校內師長包含郭壽旺副校長、民生學院鄧院長及管理學院暨國際學程廖院長共同出席接待，來訪代表團共計21位成員，來自印度工商聯合會(FICCI)及10所印度高等教育機構，包括 Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology、Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics、Chitkara University、C. V. Raman Global University、Manipal Academy of Higher Education、Symbiosis International University、Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune、Parul University、Vishwakarma University 及 JIS Group。

雙方就交換學生、雙聯學制計畫及博士班合作等議題進行深入討論，並分享各校在高等教育發展與國際合作推動上的經驗。透過此次面對面交流，期盼未來能進一步拓展實質合作機會，深化實踐大學與印度高等教育機構之間的夥伴關係，持續推動國際學術交流與人才培育。

Shih Chien University is honored to welcome the delegation led by Prof. Padmakumar Nair, Co-Chair of the FICCI Higher Education Committee, and Dr. Rajesh Pankaj, Director and Head of Education & Skills, for a visit at Taipei campus.

The delegation was received by President Dr. Jeou-Shyan Horng, Vice President Dr. Tony Kuo, Dean of College of Human Ecology, and Dean of College of Management and International College. The visiting delegation consisted of 21 representatives from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and 10 Indian higher education institutions.

During the visit, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on student exchange, dual degree programs, and doctoral-level collaboration, while also sharing experiences in advancing higher education development and international cooperation. Shih Chien University looks forward to further expanding collaboration opportunities, strengthening partnerships with Indian higher education institutions, and continuing to promote international academic exchange and talent development.
