😆😘🤣 A big thanks to everyone involved and a special thanks to the SOAS Centre of Taiwan Studies! Our two summer school sessions on July 19 and July 20 went brilliantly well! The discussions following Dr. Fell’s fascinating talk about the party politics of Taiwan and Dr. Chang’s splendid lecture on Taiwan’s soft power were especially thought-provoking and gave us a lot to chew on! NCCU is about to take a holiday for Chinese New Year 2022, and everyone is busy getting ready for the festival!🧧🏮🎆 Throughout Taiwan you’ll see people decorating their front doors with Spring Festival couplets, bright red banners with messages of good fortune and health. People in Taiwan (and many other Asian countries!) will be getting together with their families, eating, drinking, and being happy together!
