本實驗室自 2010 年起, 便領先全世界, 開始探討雷射光推進太空船的軌道問題, 迄今已近六年.
當初會選擇此一研究題目, 即看準它在長程宇宙探險的優點, 如今此一堆進方式獲得霍金等大科學家的推薦, 做為未來跨星系間的推進方法, 代表台灣在太空科技的發展上, 可以跟先進國家並架齊驅.
