Wow!! Present at the Nakivale Secondary School Teacher training on the New Curriculum workshop was the Headteacher for Rubondo Community Secondary School, Mr. Mukasa Edmond. He also happens to be an alumni of USEP Teacher Training from 2012-2014 when he was a Chemistry teacher in one of the USEP participating schools.

Activity Update: Nakivale Teacher Training

Mr. Amanyire Deo - District Education Officer (pictured), in his speech applauded Windle International (WI) for re-calling its secondary school teachers to aid learning continuity under the current COVID-19 school closure circumstances. He urged teaches to ensure that for those teachers that were not able to attend the workshop, a modality should be sought to help them get the valuable insight being delivered by USEP. He said that capacity building workshops such as this one are essential and called upon teachers to limit part-time duties (commonly called ‘mungo’ parking) so as to focus on being available at the school for the benefit of learners. He noted that he had had the opportunity to work with Mr. Ssenkubuge under previous fora in development.
