As the Uganda Martyrs University Karamoja Relief Campaign draws closer to its conclusion, we are reminded that meaningful change is often built through simple acts of generosity.

One contribution may seem small. One donation may appear insignificant. Yet when thousands of people choose to care, to share, and to act, communities are transformed. Hope is restored. Lives are touched. Futures are strengthened.

Today, we invite you to be part of that collective impact. Let us not look away from the challenges facing our brothers and sisters in Karamoja. Instead, let us respond with compassion, solidarity, and a commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind.

The journey is not over. The need remains. And together, we can make this final stretch count.

🎓 Career Fair Highlights – Our Lady of Africa Namilyango!

Uganda Martyrs University's team had the privilege of engaging with students from Senior 4 to Senior 6 at Our Lady of Africa Namilyango. We had honest, practical conversations about life after high school and how to choose the right course for the future.

Uganda Martyrs University especially appreciated how the school grouped students by stream Arts, Physicals, and Biologicals allowing us to tailor our guidance to exactly what each group needed to hear.

Thank you to the staff and students for such a warm and engaging welcome. Here's to helping more young people make informed decisions about their future! 🙌

There are moments when a nation is called upon to demonstrate its humanity. This is one of those moments.

Across Karamoja, many families continue to endure the devastating effects of hunger and hardship. Behind every statistic is a mother trying to provide for her children, a family searching for hope, and communities longing for relief.

At Uganda Martyrs University, we believe that no one should face such challenges alone. The strength of a community is measured not by what it has, but by what it is willing to share with those in need. As our Karamoja Relief Campaign approaches its final days, we invite everyone to stand with us in this mission of compassion and solidarity.

Together, we can be the reason a family finds hope. Together, we can remind Karamoja that they have not been forgotten. Together, we can turn concern into action and kindness into lasting impact.

Four months ago, Kanweri Grace couldn't have imagined installing house wiring on her own. Today, she can.

Grace is a participant in the KCB Foundation's six-month sponsorship at St. Joseph Technical Institute, in partnership with Uganda Martyrs University's Fort Portal Campus, training in Electrical with Solar.

She can already handle sockets, switch wiring, and full house installations — with her certificate set to finish soon, followed by a two-month internship.

"I'm proud of KCB Bank because it brought us from very far.

We couldn't even take care of ourselves," Grace shares. Her next goal: starting her own electrical equipment business.

This is what it means to be .

As we enter the final lap of the Uganda Martyrs University Karamoja Relief Campaign, we pause to reflect on the power of compassion, solidarity, and shared humanity. Over the past weeks, members of our university community, alumni, friends, partners, and well-wishers have responded with remarkable generosity to support our brothers and sisters in Karamoja who continue to face the devastating effects of hunger and food insecurity.

Yet the journey is not over.

Behind every donation is a family that will have a meal, a child who will sleep with hope, and a community reminded that they are not forgotten. The challenges facing Karamoja remain real, and this final phase of our campaign presents one last opportunity for us to stand together and make a meaningful difference.

As we approach the campaign’s conclusion, we invite every student, staff member, alumnus, alumna, partner, and friend of UMU to make one final contribution. Whether through food items, financial support, or sharing this appeal with others, your act of kindness can help bring relief and hope to families in need.

27 days to graduation. Usually we'd start this countdown at 30 — but we're not behind. Formation was never meant to run on a fixed clock. It runs until it's complete.

For the Class of 2026, that moment arrives on 18 October. In 27 days, this cohort steps off the stage no longer as students, but as fully formed, fully equipped Difference Makers — ready to carry everything UMU built in them out into the world.

To our alumni family: get ready to welcome them. This is your network growing by one more cohort.
To the Class of 2026: you are exactly on time.

The countdown starts today. Follow the journey to the stage.

In Karamoja, families are going through one of the hardest moments they have faced; mothers, children, and the elderly are struggling simply to eat.

As a University community, we believe no one should face this alone. Your support today, in whatever way you're able to give, can bring real relief to a family in need.
