Through our dedicated efforts, we’ve nurtured and distributed thousands of seedlings, contributing to the successful planting of over 10,000 trees across Kasese District.

From schools to farms, hillsides to homesteads, our trees are taking root, restoring ecosystems, supporting livelihoods, and combating the effects of climate change.

This journey is powered by our passion for environmental conservation and the support of our trainees, partners, and community champions. Every seedling raised in our nursery carries hope for a better tomorrow — for the land, for the people, and for the planet.

Our Course Guide

1. GREEN AND CLIMATE-SMART DEPARTMENT

Solar Installation Training Course: It involves learning solar PV system design, installation, maintenance & troubleshooting. It promotes clean energy use and employment in the renewable energy sector.

Improved Cookstoves (Portable and Fixed): It involves skills in making and promoting energy-efficient stoves. It also supports health, environmental conservation, and cleaner cooking.

Nursery Bed Management Course: It involves learning to prepare, manage, and maintain nursery beds. It focuses on tree planting, food production, and sustainable agriculture.

Mushroom and Vegetable Growing: It involves techniques for growing mushrooms and vegetables organically. It emphasizes income generation and climate-smart agriculture.

2. DIGITAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS DEPARTMENT

Computer Training Course: It covers basic to intermediate computer use: MS Office, internet, typing. It builds digital literacy and office productivity skills.

Phone Repair Training Course: It involves hands-on training in mobile phone diagnosis, repair & maintenance. It prepares learners for self-employment or technical support roles.

3. VOCATIONAL AND LIVELIHOOD SKILLS DEPARTMENT

Tailoring Course: The course involves Instruction in garment cutting, sewing, design & fashion basics. It empowers learners for employment or starting tailoring businesses.

Welding and Metal Fabrication Course: It involves training in arc, MIG, and gas welding techniques. It prepares for construction, manufacturing, and metalwork trades.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Duration: Varies by course (1 month to 6 months)

Entry Requirements: Open to all; basic literacy preferred

Certification: UVQF-aligned competence-based assessments
