A shout-out to JMC faculty member Doug Mendenhall from new The Christian Chronicle editor Erik Tryggestad in the current issue.

LUBBOCK, Texas — I don’t like “Christian journalism.” I don’t think it even should exist. Putting the word “Christian” in front of things — “Christian music,” “Christian education” — reduces them to subsets of “real music,” “real education.” In truth, any undertakin...

During World War II, this service flag was displayed in Sewell Auditorium. Blue stars represented every student and ex-student in military service during the war. When the Registrar’s Office was notified of a death of one of the ACU military members, a gold star replaced the blue one. Of the 1,088 stars, 40 were gold. We are grateful this #MemorialDay for those who gave their all for our freedom.

Our new print making area will be completely built out over the summer. We're excited to see how it turns out, and more importantly, what YOU decide to do with it. Start dreaming.

Sync With God Promotional Video

JMC has been advising the team building the Sync With God app and program for several years now, leading toward at least one internship this year. Below is a taste of what this endeavor to build a small-group discipling platform for millennials looks like.

Mark Pomeroy, the founder of Sync With God, is looking for at least two more interns for videography and whiteboard animation. Here's his pitch, and you can find more details in the Career Center's Handshake database:

PASSION: Head full of “wow,” “outside the box” ideas and the skills to engage 13- to 35-year-olds and their older adult mentors so they understand and apply God’s word. Committed follower of Jesus Christ with strong Biblical understanding as part of a team to help grow people in spiritual knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors to transform their hearts into the image of God.
