URGENT REMINDER: ACU students, faculty and staff who have traveled outside of Abilene in the last two weeks should complete the confidential travel form prior to their return to campus, as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The purpose of this form is to allow ACU’s HR Office to follow up with individuals regarding any specific CDC recommendations.

We want to do everything we can to decrease the likelihood of an outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) within the ACU community. We know you want to partner with us in protecting the more vulnerable among us.

Please submit your response by 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, and wait for a response from the HR Office BEFORE RETURNING to campus. Supervisors, please check with your employees to ensure they have submitted this important form.

We are incredibly thankful today for ACU Police Department, Royce and Pam Money Student Recreation and Wellness Center, ACU Brown Library, Dine ACU, and ACU Facilities for providing services to the students who live on campus. Your willingness to serve, clear sidewalks, prepare meals and provide spaces for students to gather on a snow day is so important on a residential campus. Due to the potential for snow/ice conditions affecting traveling safety Wednesday morning, ACU-Abilene will be closed Wednesday February 5th. This will include all day and night classes being cancelled. The following campus service venues will be functioning as noted below:
-The Bean will be open on normal schedule for food service, but selections could be affected, depending on staffing levels.
-The Brown Library will be open from 10a-6p for library services only. The Maker Lab, Learning Studio, etc.will NOT be open.
-Starbucks is hoping to be open 10a-6p, depending on staffing
-The Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be open 10a-6p, with NO pool access.
ACU Police will be open and operating 24/7 as always. ACU Landscape and Grounds will have crews out starting at 6am for ice treatments of sidewalks/stairs/landings.

A few important reminders for the new year:
Nonexempt and student employees’ timesheets for Dec. 16-21 are due TODAY. You will submit the next timesheet on Jan. 6.

The first bi-weekly check will be issued on Jan. 10.

Benefit eligible faculty and staff should check their pay stub deductions on Jan. 10 to ensure their elections for 2020 are accurately reflected.

Please make sure you have reviewed the updated Payroll Calendar and Bi-weekly FAQ’s that were included in your email version of this message.

Benefits Enrollment is now live!

It is time for all full-time, reduced full-time and half-time faculty and staff to elect their 2020 benefits. Annual Enrollment will be through Friday, November 8, 2019. Please look over the 2020 Benefits Guidebook in order to review the choices available to you.

To elect your 2020 benefits, log in to myACU and click on Benefits Enrollment under Quicklinks. All benefits-eligible employees are required to complete their enrollment online between November 4 and November 8, 2019.

If you complete your online open enrollment by 5 p.m. today, you will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a one-time payment of $300. If you need assistance enrolling in your 2020 benefits you are welcome to come to the Brown Library, 3rd-floor Computer Lab (BL301) for help from an HR or benefits vendor representative.

Relief Aid – Hurricane Dorian Victims

Global Samaritan is accepting specific items to contribute to the Iris Relief aid organization for people who have been affected by Hurricane Dorian. Wildcat Central will be the drop off point this next week for Faculty, Staff and Students. Donations will be collected Monday, Sept. 9-Thursday, Sept. 12.

Items to be collected:
Canned goods: meats, vegetables, fruits, beans, juices
Peanut butter, Dried fruits, Crackers, Cereal, Granola Bars, Trail Mix, etc.
Paper Products: Toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, paper bowls
Plastic forks, knives, spoons
Garbage Bags, storage bags (Ziploc)
Baby Needs: Diapers, wipes, jarred foods, formula, bath soap
Hygiene Items: Shampoo, Toothpaste, toothbrushes, bath soap, hand soap/sanitizer, deodorant, feminine products
