College marching band is about more than music. It’s about finding your people, making memories, and being part of something bigger than yourself.

These are the faces and friendships that made band camp special and there’s always room for the next generation of Bulldogs.

Last shot of camp, we practiced for our pre-football game, "Dawson Steps" performance where the band practices as an ensemble one last time before marching to the stadium. Our first time this season will be 9/5 at 12:00 PM.

Kickoff schedule:
12:00 PM - Band Performance on the Dawson Steps.
12:30 PM - March to the Stadium
12:50 PM - PreGame!
1:00 PM - Kickoff!

BAND CAMP — DAY 8 | FINAL DAY

Eight days. Countless rehearsals. New music, new traditions, and a lot of memories made along the way.

Today brought a little bit of everything: rehearsing in the new Dome on campus, putting the finishing touches on the show, and hearing the Bulldog Fight Song come together as an ensemble.

For our seniors, it was also the final band camp rehearsal of their college careers. Their leadership, experience, and commitment have helped shape the band and their impact will carry forward long after this week.

Band camp may be over, but the season is just beginning.

Eight days down. One band. One Bulldog Community.

BAND CAMP — DAY 7

Day seven brought a new challenge to the Bulldog Marching Band season.

The band continued building its pregame routine and halftime show, while adding something new to the program this week: parade marching.

Different formations. Different styles of movement. Different demands on the ensemble; but the same goal: becoming a stronger, more confident marching band.

With each rehearsal, the pieces are starting to come together.

Seven days in. One band. Our band members are seeing their effort pay off.

BAND CAMP — DAY 6

Sometimes the most important rehearsal happens without a field or a podium.

Today, our Bulldogs took the music to the parking lot by playing, listening, and learning to hear beyond their own individual parts.

A great ensemble isn't simply a group of musicians playing at the same time. It's a group of musicians who listen to one another, adjust, respond, and build something together.

Every note matters. Every section matters. And most importantly, we listen to each other.

This is how a college marching band becomes an ensemble.

BAND CAMP — DAY 5

Day five was all about getting ready for what comes next.

Uniform fittings, individual practice, and some well-earned rest gave our Bulldogs a chance to fine-tune the details, build confidence and recharge. A huge thanks to our drum major, Perale, and the leadership team for coordinating the fittings and locker assignments.

Five days in, and this group is already starting to look and sound like a college marching band preparing for their first performance.

The fun continues next week with the remainder of the halftime show.

BAND CAMP DAY 4

Today was about leadership, preparation, and the Bulldog tradition.

Our section leaders stepped up in a big way during a full day of sectionals: coaching, encouraging, and helping their peers become better musicians and performers.

We were also excited to welcome several Bulldog Marching Band alumni back to campus. Their return is a reminder that being part of this band doesn't end when you graduate. The relationships and memories last.

With instrument maintenance, adjustments, and plenty of music practice, the band is putting in the work now to be ready for what's ahead.

Four days down. The next chapter starts Monday.
