USCA African American Students Alliance

USCA African American Students Alliance AASA strives to enhance the experience of black students and those interested in African American culture at USCA The African American Students Alliance (AASA) is a student leadership organization dedicated to minority issues and cross-cultural collaborations between minority students and others on campus.

We are formed to unite the black student voice and to fortify the USCA African American community. We serve as a space for students to interact, fellowship, and shape our university.

Mission: AASA's mission is to unify the USCA African American community, to educate USCA's campus about African American history and culture, and to serve the Aiken Community. We strive to accomplish these goals by participating in community service, social events, and academic support. Through these initiatives, we aim to equip our members with the tools necessary for success in all facets of USC Aiken life and beyond. The African American Students Alliance openly collaborates with other student groups, Faculty, Staff, and a variety of outside organizations. Join us as we seek to embellish the University of South Carolina Aiken experience for current and future generations of our students. F.A.Q's: Do I have to be African American to join or participate? No! AASA is not an exclusive organization. We welcome everyone. Do I have to pay membership dues? AASA does not charge dues and any membership fees Do I have to be a student of USCA to join? Yes. You must be enrolled as a student to join the organization. However, we do invite the community to attend our events. More questions?
