Connecting with our community! 💚

Today, some of our OT students visited Camelot for Children! Through meaningful conversations and questions, students gained insight into the organization, the populations it serves, and the valuable resources it provides to the community. This was a great opportunity to build connections, explore community needs, and learn beyond the classroom! 🌟

The Cedar Crest College OTD Program was proud to be represented at the 2026 Conference this year.
Special shoutout to Dr. Cristina Urban, who co-presented the research poster, “Exploring Community Perspectives Following an Interprofessional Community-Based Global Learning Program: A Mixed Methods Study.” We also congratulate Hailey and Abby on presenting their qualitative research, “End of Life Caregiving: Unchosen Roles and Disrupted Occupations.”

We are proud of the many ways our faculty and students continue to contribute to the advancement of occupational therapy through research, education, and service.

✨ OTD 2nd Year Field Trip! ✨
Our second-year OTD students had an amazing time visiting Bitty & Beau’s Coffee in Bethlehem, PA! ☕️💙 We had the opportunity to learn more about the history and mission of Bitty & Beau’s, while gaining a deeper understanding of the experiences, strengths, and contributions of working adults with disabilities.

A huge thank you to the Bitty & Beau's Coffee team for welcoming us, sharing your stories, and creating such a meaningful learning experience!

And of course… we couldn’t end the visit without a dance party! 💃🕺🎶

Our second-year students completed their first older adult simulation of the fall semester, while our first-year students got hands-on with anatomy by learning and creating the brachial plexus! 🧠💪
