Muhlenberg College Office of Community Engagement engages students, employees and local communities through partnerships intended to catalyze personal, institutional, and community change.

The Office of Community Service & Civic Engagement strives to:

-Connect Muhlenberg and Allentown communities in meaningful, deep partnerships aimed at creating change

-Facilitate individual understanding of social identities, civic engagement and communities

-Enhance our communities’ ability and desire to critically analyze, learn, and dialogue about important social justice issues

Eten: Sterner’s Stems- “Owner Melissa Sterner started the business as a pop-up shop after a notable partnership with Louis Vuitton, and has seen it grow in notoriety since its early days in 2021 to now. While managing a business is a difficult task, Ms. Sterner loves the warm and wonderful environment she’s made and continues to carve out her space in the Allentown community.

Whether it be an in-shop terrarium building experience, or an out of shop visit to a new place around town, Sterner’s Stems continues to bring a joyful look to the relief and wonder of the botanical world, one sprout at a time!”
