On Tuesday, September 22, Western Oklahoma State College had the pleasure of welcoming leaders from Altus Air Force Base for a morning of breakfast, networking, and campus exploration. Dr. Chad Wiginton, Rachel Beckner, and Monica Taylor shared the history and insights about the transformation of Altus Junior College into Western Oklahoma State College, detailing degree programs and the WOSC Foundation, Inc. Mighty 97th Scholarship.

After enjoying breakfast, the visitors embarked on a tour of the Western Campus, which featured the new Simulation Lab of the Nursing Department. Nursing Instructor Kathy Reyes enthusiastically showcased the advanced mannequins that enable Western nursing students to engage in various scenarios prior to their clinical rotations. The morning concluded with small group tours, where participants explored classrooms, labs, the library, and student areas.
