📸NWOSU AI Conference, Business Advisory Council spot light📸 Sadie serves as the Finance Director for the City of Alva, where she oversees municipal budgeting, revenue management, financial reporting, and compliance while working closely with the City Manager and City Council to ensure responsible stewardship of public funds. As local government adapts to emerging technologies, she is interested in how artificial intelligence can improve efficiency, enhance financial analysis, and support more informed decision-making. In a municipal environment, AI has the potential to reshape administrative workflows and expand workforce skill sets while strengthening transparency and service delivery. She is passionate about finding practical, responsible ways to integrate new tools that support both our employees and the community we serve. She received her bachelor’s in accounting in 2013 from NWOSU and received her masters in adult education/political science in 2022 from NWOSU. She has 2 children who keep her busy, ages 13 & 8, and she serves on various boards. Participating in her community is very important to her.

Morgan Gonzales, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist and the Executive Director of Gonzales Therapy Services, a pediatric therapy practice serving families in rural Oklahoma. As both a clinician and business owner, she understands firsthand how rapidly technology is changing healthcare delivery.

At the 2026 AI Impact Conference, Morgan will share how artificial intelligence is already influencing speech pathology — from documentation systems and workflow automation to clinical decision support and practice management. She believes the future of healthcare belongs to professionals who can combine human-centered care with digital literacy.

On February 19th, the Division of Business hosted a presentation featuring Blaine Peterson, President and CEO of the OSCPA, and Kim Holland, a representative from Becker CPA Exam Review. The event was organized by NWOSU Becker Campus Ambassador Hadley Bohlen, alongside faculty members Mrs. Teri Allen and Mrs. Dana Roark.
Our accounting students got an inside look at the path to taking the CPA exam and licensure, scholarship opportunities, and the benefits of student membership and accounting careers.
