ROSO, Sam!! Wow!!

Three NWOSU Division of Education seniors were awarded the Spring 2025 Guthrie Scottish Rite Scholarship given by the Guthrie Scottish Rite Charitable and Educational Foundation.

Those awarded this semester are Taylor Ellis (left), an agriculture education major from Kremlin-Hillsdale; Samuel Grinder (center), a vocal music education major from Sayre; and Erica Neuenschwander (right), an early childhood education major from Sharon.

A great day spent with the musicians at Shattuck High School in preparation for OSSAA. Mr. Bready and NWOSU musicians, Jameson, Aleya, and Oaklee had a wonderful day of singing and music-making. The NWOSU Choirs are off to a GREAT Spring 2025 semester! Join us April 25, 2025 in OKC as we present John Rutter’s “The Gift of Life” with a myriad of guest musicians for its 10-year anniversary. It’s going to be a wonderful concert!

Members of the NWOSU Choir sang in the 2025 OkMEA/OkCDA Intercollegiate Choir under the direction of Dr. Karen Kenaston-French and with OUR VERY OWN, Dr. Eduardo Moreira, Director of Piano Studies at NWOSU. Great fun!

After “Prison-tonix” in Alva, the Chamber Singers then sang this evening for the downtown Alva Christmas tree lighting. The outside temp was mid 40’s and windy but we were warmed by the conducting of this young musician! Our hearts are full - MERRY CHRISTMAS, ALVA!

Our NWOSU University Chamber Singers brought some Christmas cheer and a gift of song to the inmates of our local prison in Alva. A very moving experience for an extremely appreciative audience. ❤️🎄🖤
