Alvin College Foundation The ACC Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Since 1974, the Alvin Community College Foundation has been able to help approximately 1,000 students with scholarships made possible through generous donations from individuals, families and businesses. Through fundraising events, such as the Author’s Luncheon and Christmas Gala, the Foundation has also been able to provide additional scholarships, enrichment programs for the community and faculty and staff with professional development opportunities.

🍦 The ice cream truck came to Alvin College! 💙

It’s Convocation Week, and our faculty and staff are back on campus getting ready for another great year! Between learning opportunities, updates, planning and plenty of collaboration, we made sure to leave a little room for something sweet. 😊

At our annual Ice Cream Social & Polo Pickup, employees caught up with friends, grabbed their new Alvin College shirts and picked their favorite frozen treat straight from the ice cream cart!

And we have Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union to thank for bringing the cool treats! 🍦☀️

🎓 If you know someone who's been thinking about college but hasn't taken the first step, we have just the thing for them!

The First Step Award is designed to help students begin their college journey at Alvin College!

Anyone with a high school diploma or GED enrolling their very first college course can qualify for an automatic $500 scholarship help them get started.

🎭 Cowabunga! What a great Alvin College Foundation Board meeting!

Last night, we welcomed Drama Instructor Chris Tennison, who shared how the Alvin College Foundation helps make the Theatre program's success possible. From student scholarships and Innovative Grants to production support and specialized equipment, Foundation donors continue to invest in opportunities that allow students to learn, grow, and thrive both on and off the stage.

Chris also highlighted the Theatre program's outstanding student success and graduation rates, demonstrating how these investments are making a lasting impact. Board members even got an up-close look at the Foundation-funded turntable, a transformational addition to the theatre that enhances productions for Alvin College students.

To top off the evening, Chris treated the Board to a special sneak peek of Cowabunga, the upcoming world premiere in Alvin College's 41st Annual Summer Children's Theatre Festival. Performances run July 28–30, with tickets available for just $3 in advance and $4 at the door. We hope you'll come out and support our talented students while enjoying this fun-filled family production.

The Alvin College Foundation was proud to present a check for $392,638 in support of Alvin College students, faculty, and programs during the 2025–2026 academic year.

These funds provided scholarships, emergency assistance, innovative grants, faculty and staff support, equipment, and program enhancements that help students stay enrolled, achieve their goals, and transform their futures.

The Alvin College Foundation was honored to welcome Joey Saladino, owner of Joe's Bar-B-Que Company and son of the late Joe Saladino, to campus to present the Joe Saladino Memorial Culinary Scholarship to culinary student Zaida Hernandez.
