🚨 What a great day at the Amarillo College First Responders Academy! 🚒🚑👮‍♂️

Today, we welcomed nearly 100 area high school students for our First Responders Exploration event, giving them a firsthand look at what it’s like to prepare for a career in the first responder fields.

Students explored our First Responders Academy and participated in hands-on activities, demonstrations, and real-world scenarios in Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement. They also learned more about Criminal Justice, Fire Protection Technology, Emergency Medical Services, and the Law Enforcement Academy.

They enjoyed lunch, heard from a panel of former students, had the opportunity to ask questions, and left with a First Responders Academy T-shirt! 👕

Many students arrived with an interest in first responder careers, and it was exciting to see that interest grow throughout the day. We hope to see many of them return to Amarillo College after graduation, join one of our programs, and ultimately go out into their communities to serve others.

We are grateful for the opportunity to host these future leaders and introduce them to the people, programs, and experiences that make the First Responders Academy such a special place.

Today was about more than exploring careers—it was about planting seeds for the next generation of first responders. 🌟

Thank you to all of the students, faculty, staff, and partners who helped make today such a great success!
