Another NSIP Center of the Nation Sale in the books! 🐑🐏

We had the top-selling Hampshire ram lamb this year and would like to thank our buyer (an ISU alum!) for their support. Although we only brought one ram this year, we’re looking forward to this year’s breeding season and hope to bring a rocking lineup next year!

We’re also excited about our new Polypay ram lamb purchase from Taylor Made Polypays to use in our Polypay flock. We’re excited to see what he’ll contribute in the years to come.

It was great to see so many familiar faces, catch up with friends, and thank our continued supporters. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to visit, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

Spring semester highlights!

From lambing prep and late-night lamb checks to hosting classes and farm tours, it has been a busy spring semester at the sheep farm. We are incredibly grateful for all of the helping hands that passed through the farm this semester. As we wrap up our spring lambing group, we are excited to transition into summer activities! 🐑

We’re off to a busy start to the spring semester. Our ISU 4th year veterinary students have been busy helping us with pregnancy ultrasounds, while our undergraduate sheep enthusiasts (ANS 4290 students) are actively involved in both ultrasounding and lambing. We’re very fortunate to have both groups on the farm and appreciate their help and involvement! And a big thanks to our student workers that keep everything running smoothly!

Also a birthday shout out to our LGD, Zeus, who turns 7 this month! We appreciate all the long hours he puts in on the farm 🎂
