If you’re far from home, feeling nervous about recruitment, starting your first semester at Iowa State, or simply wondering where you’ll find your people…you are not alone.

With Recruitment Week just around the corner, our active sisters wanted to share a few words of advice for the women who may be wondering if Sigma Alpha is the right fit for them. We hope you see a little bit of yourself in their stories—and maybe even picture yourself becoming a part of ours!

We were honored to welcome Julia Campbell Looney, VP of Strategy at AgroBravo, 7th-generation farmer, and hot pilates instructor, as our guest speaker at chapter!

Some of the words that especially resonated with our sisters were:

✨”Life begins outside your comfort zone.”
✨”Say yes before you are ready.”
✨”Leadership isn’t about having all of the answers.”

Sigma Alpha was proud to partner with AGR to present this check at the Iowa State Fair during the Bacon Buddies Show on August 15th. The funds were raised during our BBQ on Rho event earlier this year. These proceeds are supporting The Bacon Buddies program, Special Olympics of Iowa, and the Iowa Pork Producers Association.🎉💚💛

Thank you to everyone who helped make BBQ on Rho such a successful event, allowing us to support this incredible cause! We are so grateful to be able to give back to our community while celebrating agriculture!
