Iowa State Lectures Program Sponsoring speakers, debates, forums & film on Iowa State's campus. Events are FREE & open to the public. ALL EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

The Iowa State Lectures Program is a collaborative effort between the Government of the Student Body and the Office of the Provost. The professional staff advises students, faculty, and administrative offices on arrangements for visiting scholars, artists, performers, public officials and professionals on a wide range of topics. We also assist with researching speakers and topics, scheduling and r

oom reservations, fundraising, promotion and event logistics. The Lectures Program oversees and manages the Committee on Lectures as well as the World Affairs Series and National Affairs Series planning committees and the FOCUS arts committee.

🎤 Now Hiring: Lectures Program Event Assistants! 🎤

Want a front-row seat to ~90 speaker events a year? The Lectures Program is looking for Event Assistants to help run the show — from room setup and signage to guiding guests and supporting author signings and receptions.

✅ ~10 hrs/month (5–9pm, Mon–Thu, Sept–April)
✅ $13/hour
✅ Preference given to current sophomores and juniors
✅ Great for students who are organized, personable, and love being part of a team
