πŸ“ From NATA Convention in Philadelphia: Members Share Their Favorite NATA Member Benefits ⭐

We asked attendees what they value most about NATA membership.

For Tim Weesner, MS, ATC, LAT, NASM-PES, ART, a Director of Sports Medicine in the Division I college/university setting, having access to a wide range of professional development resources is what makes membership so valuable.

From on-demand learning to in-person educational experiences, NATA provides opportunities to stay current, build new skills, and continue advancing throughout every stage of a career.

As a young fan, Mike Montgomery (’16) watched games from the hillside at Jack Trice Stadium. Now, after working with the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Pelicans, he’s back in Ames as the director of sports medicine for Iowa State Football.

"[Iowa State] has always been a place that I love and that I hold close to my heart. I've always told people you do your best work when you're working at a place that you really care about."

Thank You for volunteering Kylea!

When Kylea Sheley, MA, ATC, LAT, first started volunteering, she felt like the only LGBTQIA+ athletic trainer in her state.

She knew that couldn't be true. So she decided to be visible enough that others wouldn't feel the same way.

Continuing our Pride Month series, Sheley shares how her work with the NATA LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee has helped build community and create visibility within the profession.
