Been hard not visiting at our local nursing homes. We miss our real " senior" friends!
Helping Hands is starting a " Caring Card" project. Students in pods, cohorts or with roommates can receive a box from Helping Hands with cards that can be filled with warm messages, snacks for sustenance while they write and decorative stickers to add a finishing touch to the correspondence!
Message Yocheved Adelman to request a box.
We drop off and pick up.
Bring a smile to real senior's face!
A young man who dedicated his life to helping others was tragically taken from us. Let us perpetuate his mission by creating a mentorship program for young people. Everyone needs a shoulder to lean on, a listening ear and a warm receptive heart.
Be a part of that light. Thank you!

With all the changes to the UMass Amherst attendance plan, UMass Chabad would like to make sure we can still help fill the needs of Jewish students who will be in the area in off campus housing or in the limited dorm availability.
Please reach out to us to provide a Shabbat kit to help students celebrate Shabbat in their own space, or to attend a small in person socially distant Shabbat dinner.
Chabad is also formulating plans to help students hear the Shofar for Rosh Hashanah, as well as provide free pre- fast and post fast Yom Kippur foods and arrange covid safe ways to celebrate Sukkot.
Please reach out if we can be helpful in any way for any UMass student in the area.
